Thought I would throw a bunch of random seeds from the summers grow in a pot and see what happens. First 7 got transferred to the tent. They are not feminized so roughly %50 will be male and cut.

This is my experimental tent. Im using a Vita world garden base, which uses a 12L reservoir with hydroton balls for capillary watering. An aquarium pumps keeps the reservoir fresh along with hollow air chambers running vertically from the reservoir to above the media surface. The base holds 8cb ft or 60G of soil. The tent is an 2x3x5 one from vivo sun that has had the bottom cut out, been zip tied and sealed to the base.

I have 9 strong seedlings going and somehow two more hidden seeds have taken off. Definitely do not have room for 11, will take the strongest 9. 💪

With the plants different sizes adjusting nuets is annoying. Will be more uniform in the next few weeks.

I doubt the smaller ones will catch up at this point, but I don’t see the reason to just pull them. The 4 healthy are more squat and bushy, I’m hoping that means four female plants.

Lowered the light 4 inches now they are in full vegetation. Happy to have 4 short bushy plants, looking female to me. Will switch to flower at 17” height due to tent. Surprised to have a hidden seed germinate at 8 weeks, I’ll let it live for now. I also did a single topping on the four plants.

Plants are responding well to the topping, at least two new shoots per plant. They are also starting the big growth vegetation stage, once average height is 16” I will switch to flowering.

Next week should be ready to flower. I’ve been busy so not as many updates this week. Plants still are recovering from not enough nutrients.

RazMonkey
RazMonkeycommented4 years ago
@Medica, hey thanks! If you look at week one it shows the bare setup. Bottom is a 12L water reservoir, black tubes are full of baked clay balls that allow water and oxygen to travel all throughout the media.

Why is Sceletor in your soil?
RazMonkey
RazMonkeycommented4 years ago
@Medica, I think your referring to the white bits? That’s perlite to help with drainage and preventing compaction of the soil.

Dunno what is going on, this is total fuckery, but if you've been doing this for a month and those ladys are so small, maby you should figure out what is going wrong mate?
RazMonkey
RazMonkeycommented4 years ago
@Medica, So I started off with 40 or so random seeds from my summer grows. Some plants are up to two weeks older hence the size difference. I also accidentally gave too much nitrogen to the smaller plants. They are a little stunted with brown leaves, but will catch up.

RazMonkey
RazMonkeycommented4 years ago
@Medica,lol would love to keep hamsters in there, don’t think it would work out tho! Cage is for easy tying points. Stuff like fans, lights and eventually the plants.
