Growing autos in my closet. Begin germination process on 12/17 with direct method in Mother Earth's Groundswell mix. Seeds poked their heads out 12/24. I'm currently manually turning the lights off and on when I wake up and go to bed (about 16-17 hours). I'm using plain tap water.
Blueberry has a two point leaf pair.
8 oz of water one day, and 16 oz of water 4 other days. Blue shows more sensitivity to watering than Fastberry. It's leaves droop a little, then curl up a little with watering, but it looks to balance out by the end of the day.
Started LST mid/end of week. Using rubber coated garden wire and plugging one end into the ground and using the other end like a hook.. I need to use longer pieces so I can stick the wires deeper into the ground because the plants pulled them out the next day or so as the top of the medium was drying out.
Lowered the light some.
Water consumption has doubled.
Blueberry is so bushy I want to defoliate instead of leaf tucking.
I keep trying to LST Fastberry, but the plant keeps pulling my wire with it. I feel like all the tugging around on it is over stressing it some.
Fastberry looks to be transitioning to flowering. Blueberry has some pistils beginning to show as well, but not as pronounced.
Lowered the lights down a bit more.
Added a top dress of flowering fertilizer.
Did some light defoliation on blueberry. I'll need to do more; it's very bushy.
Fastberry is in full flowering. I'm guessing blueberry is a week behind; it's showing many pistils, but not noticing full flowering growth yet.
Blueberry had some good stretch this week as it was moving into full flowering.
Watering has been pretty consistent with 3/8th gallon for Fastberry and 1/2 gallon for Blueberry each day.
Consistent watering.
I've been removing a few leaves every couple days or so from Blueberry.
Fastberry's buds are showing purple coloring.
Blueberry has shown what looks like calmag deficiencies.
Watering slightly less.
Fastberry's hairs look 70%+ orange. Trichomes look cloudy, some, but not many are amber rn.
Blueberry's hairs look less than 50% orange. Trichomes look mostly cloudy.
