Day 29: Spent the morning buying little things for the tent and working at it. Changed the air extractor fixtures to use them with an additional top metal bar for the tent. I moved the extractor slightly higher and the led pannel can move vertically without any contact with the extractor and the carbon filter. With the additionnal metal bar, I 'll be able to use 4 suspension cables and get rid of the spider farmer 's ones => + 15 new cm available to raise the light + more slope angles ๐.
Then some cleaning inside the tent and quietly started to repot in the begining of the afternoon.
It's long.... Prepare 4,5 L of soup for watering ( water pH 6,5 + Elycitor 0,3 mg/L and Roots+ 0,3 ml/L), then the repoting itself ( I don't like to do it very very much, Oh no.. !), then 20 mn watering slowly , then waiting for the water to fill the plates, then empty it and once more. Then it's heavy erf..! Back to the tent to place it, adjust the lamp's height and ready for the next one.
Well.. I have been short of time before the light is off and also short of ...soil ๐ฌ Finally, only the 2 Jack Herer and the 2 Girl scout cookies are repoted ( my best roots ever btw) and I 'll have to start early tomorrow to go and get my soil ( 1 hour to go and come back...) and take care of the 2 gorilla glue so that everything is done before 1 pm: I'll be busy somewhere else after and I want the remaining waterings/repotages do be done tomorrow.
Gorilla glues's wouldn't mind some water and the 4 other plants need to rest after the afternoon they spent. So, tonight, they look a little down but they'll smile tomorrow.
Day 30 : Both Gorilla glue repoted and watered. The 4 other plants liked their yesterday afternoon and grew by 2 cm: Tallest plant is now 23 cm tall. I'm waiting for๐ my metal bar to arrange the light suspension before putting the net in place. As soon as it's done, i'll start to fill my space training the ladies under the grid and toping them again until 70/80 % (depending on how they'll behave) coverage.
Day 31: For all plants:
- 1 st node 's Fan leaves and secondaries branches removed,
-2 main top colas + top cola of 2nd, 3rd and fourth secondary branches topped above at least 3rd node (except for the Girl scout cookies #1 whose internodes are way longer than for the other plants and less numerous)
- Removed 1st leaves and nodes at the bottom on node 2's secondary branches.
At this point, each plant has 4 main colas + 12 secondary branches's top colas = 16 main tops. Considering how fast they grow, it won't be long to fill the net and - to avoid as much as I can too tall plants- I want them to stay under the net for a while during pre bloom. Can't wait to install the net. The metal bar was announced to be delivered today but.. Tomorrow certainly !
This time, the net is flexible ( compared to the bamboo grid that I used last time: 100 % rigid): I also wonder how stong will be the impact on its ability to constrain plants and give them a "don't excpect to grow tall easily, but look.. on the sides it's so easy" signal.
Day 32: Despite the metal bar hasn't been delivered today ๐, I placed the net and started to train the plants. I like this flexible net much better than the bamboo one: One can train the branches "under/ubove" the grid. This wasn"t possible with the bamboo net: too thick, 100% rigid => my "scrog" was more a lst under the net than a "real" scrog. On another hand, to help branches support big buds weight the bamboo grid is unbeatable and it can be disassembled progressivly to ease crop in case all plants are not ready the same day.
Before final placing, I moved the tent toward the center of the room => I can sit in front of each of its four sides and because the new tent can be opened on each size, should experience no difficulties to water, train, defoliate under the net and eventually partially harvest. And that's nice ! ๐.
Day 33: Moved and placed branches and leaves above/under the net to buld the future canopy. This is going to keep me busy untill I let them grow freely.
Day 34: Same as yesterday.
Day 35: Same as yeserday + defoliation at the bottom of the plants ( leaves not taking light and secondaries too low to reach the net) + watering 4 L/ plant (pH 6,4 + Elycitor 0,4 mg/L and Roots+ 0,3 ml/L+ Orga grow 1ml/L) for all plants but the gorilla glue 's.
I'll spray some neem oil tonight before the light is off.
Jack Herer are definitely the most perennial, then Girl scout cookies and then Gotilla glue. The number of bud sites is growing : Jack Here have 30+ of them on the grid level each...
One in the other, I spent 8 hours with the ladies today ! ๐ช Not sure If I already mentionned it: They have between 10 mn up to an hour of guitare playing a day. I can tell plants like music. And I love plants. So..
End of week 5. Next week, I will let them rest keeping on guiding what can be guided.
