One of the castaway's didn't sink after 24hours, and didn't pop after 48 in some moist soil. Every thing else was just fine. I think my cheapo amazon goose neck grow light I used caused them to grow leggy. I played around with using a blue fluorescent and just leaving them outside because it's not freezing here. I have to wait until the tent is empty as I have one that's almost done with flowering. Hopefully I can bump these along with cheap growlights, and outside time for about 2-3 weeks
I haven't been able to put them in the tent as I'm using it as drying area for the last grow, I'll have them moved at the end of next week likely. I've been using a combination of the cheapo amazon bendy light and just leaving them in the sun. The GSC cement shoes x wilson is lagging behind but everything else looks okay. Not PHing the water until late veg when I'll start feeding it more
Moved into the tent after the latest harvest dried out and was ready for trim. The "Castaway" is still looking droopy. I'll be avoiding nutes besides my one shot until I'm sure it uses up the stuff in the FFOF soil and I see healthier leaves.
Letting them just do their thing. Getting worried about the 'castaway' as it's not really perking it's self back up, I'll try letting it dry out more and work from there. Towards the end I up potted them and will keep there here until the first topping is recovered from. As of now it's just plain ph'd water.
GSC cement shoes is no more. Careful about topping/lolipopping early and aggressively. Luckily we have a survivor. Still looking a little droopy and dark next week we'll transfer to a final home and mix in some normal potting soil and lots of perlite with the FFOF. Hopefully this will keep it fluffy and airy. Not too bummed about it as it was the freebie with my order and there's about 9 more beans.
Things have been looking up for this grow after the early loss of the other plant. Responded well to the training but I could tell there was still a water retention issue as it wasn't drying out properly. So I transplanted earlier and remixed the soil. I cut the FFOF with 1 part perlite, and 1 part miracle grow potted(moisture control) mix 2 parts FFOF. The soil is MUCH fluffier and the Rain Science bags helped too. The leaves are now no longer drooping and new growth is coming it fine.
