Germination went off without a hitch. I initially gave the sprouts 24 hour light and changed to 18-6 after transplanting the seedlings into the final pots after 1 week.

Started these as per company directions. This is my third go round with autoflowers. They seem to take a few weeks to put down their roots followed by a growth explosion. I have had pretty good success with Sonoma Seeds varieties to date. So far so good with these Juicy Fruit seedlings.

I transferred the seedlings into the final containers 1 week ago. The grow medium is Bud Mud, produced in Saskatchewan. I will use Gaia Green Power Bloom fertilizer at the first signs of flowering. Beyond that just a couple of doses of molasses again a little later in the grow. I am using the Canadian Stealth Box. I have had decent success with this unit so far. Average yield in the box is a little over an ounce per plant.

Lots of growth this past week. Always amazed with how fast these autoflowers grow once they really take root. Still finding that a light watering every second day is sufficient. About 1 1/4 cups per pot. Not adding anything to the soil, I use Bud Mud living soil. I will add a couple of tablespoons of Power Bloom once flowering begins.

These autoflowers showed a huge growth spurt this week. They have also started flowering. I have one mutant plant that I hope will eventually come around. I have started some LST and plan to give the plants a dose of Power Bloom fertilizer this coming week.

The juicy ladies continue to grow like weeds. Go figure. I am happy to report that the mutant of the four has made a great recovery and is now sprouting flowers. I top dressed with Power Bloom fertilizer yesterday, 2 tablespoons per pot. No problems to report, let’s keep it that way.😊

We are just wrapping up week 7 with these juicy fruit. Buds continue to develop nicely. The plants have not shown a growth spurt as I anticipated, they are by far the shortest plants I have encountered. There is little or no odor at this time. The mutant plant (top right corner) has taken over the box. There are four branches growing from each node.

These auto flowers are getting close to harvest. One however (mutant) is a couple of weeks behind the others. Usually I would chop the plants and then leave them in the box to dry. The straggler is going to force me to find a new drying spot for the others. That issue aside I am quite pleased with how things are progressing. While very small in stature these ladies are showing some impressive colas. They look nice and frosty and are maturing quickly.

It is now 10 weeks since I first planted these girls. Three of the sisters have already been chopped and have started the drying and curing process. The one remaining was a slow starter, a mutant. I am encountering a lot of genetic mutations in autoflowers. All’s well that ends well however and she has developed into quite a striking girl. Interesting to note she grew four branches off the first node. I will be harvesting her tomorrow.

Three of these plants were very short in stature however they yielded quite well and the quality of the smoke is better than I was expecting. Seems there are always a few challenges with autoflowers but the end result was very good.
