After 40 hrs using the paper towel germinating technique we have a very healthy looking Dosiface spouted seed. I moved the seed into a 459 ml pot with potting soil and moved it into the tent under a 18/6 light cycle. The temperature in the tent is currently 23c and the humidity is 48%. If all goes well I'll be posting some pics of a Dosiface seedling in the next 48 hrs.
Proud parent of a healthy Dosiface! 3 day's after I planted the germinated Dosiface seed into the 459ml pot I have a healthy Dosiface seedling. I plan on moving it into a 2 gallon gro pro warrior pot at around the 2 week mark where it will spend the remainder of its life. My plan is to veg. it for 4 weeks before I switch to 12/12. This is a reg. seed so fingers crossed 🤞🤞 we're working with a female. I do have a couple other cultivars at the same stage so if it turns out to be a promising male I may decide to make some F1 hybrids. Thanks for watching and as always stay kind!
With week 1 in the books the Dosiface is looking fairly healthy despite over watering it a bit which explains the droopy leaves. It was really reaching for the light so I decided to lower the spider farmer to 54 inches above the canopy from 66 inches above the canopy. It received it's first feeding 2 days ago with the nutrients listed above at about half the recommended rate. All and all I feel week 1 went ok despite the over watering and am looking forward to what week 2 brings. Until then stay kind and keep growing.
Week 2 was a rough week for the Dosiface. Due to the already nutrient rich soil I over fertilized at the end of week one despite only feeding at half the recommended rate. It is starting to bounce back now after I transplanted it from the 459 ml pot to the 2 gallon pot and flushed it with plenty of water. I also raised the Spider farmer to 60 inches above the canopy from 54 inches and dimmed it to about 75%. Fingers crossed it will be smooth sailing from here on in.🤞
Week 3 was good to the Dosiface. Looks healthy and has put on some nice growth. It was topped early in the week and looks to be responding well to it. I also added a blue spectrum led to the tent to help push the last couple weeks of veg. growth. Lowered the lights to 36 inches above the canopy and added a humidifier to help raise humidity in the tent. I'm thinking 3 more weeks of veg. before I switch to 12/12. Looking forward to seeing what the next week brings. Until then stay kind GD
The Dosiface seems to be doing ok. 1 more week of veg. And I'll be dropping the lights down to 12/12. Really looking forward to seeing this strain flower out! Fingers crossed it's a female 🤞
I'm thinking the yellowing is caused by a nitrogen deficiency, but I'm not certain. Feel free to share your thoughts if you think you may know what has caused this. Other then the yellowing the Dosiface seems to be doing ok. It put on some good growth since my last post 10 days ago. Fertilized twice in the last 10 days and am now thinking I'm going to turn the lights down to a 12/12 light cycle in a couple days. Fun times ahead. Stay kind
The Dosiface is starting to come around from its deficiency. I've been feeding heavily and reduced the light schedule down to 12/12. A few more days and I should know the sex. Wish me luck and stay kind.
