Week 10. Flowering

Germinated in early September it showed signs of preflowering after 5 weeks, gave it supplemental light to prevent this and made it grow in veg for those 2 extra weeks, after that it took less than a week for preflowers to appear. While it was on week 2 of veg I did some soundwave experiments which stunted it and it didn't grow for 2 weeks and took another one to start growing again slowly, so it didn't grow very big. I topped twice and took those clones already at week 2 or 3 of flowering, they rooted but developed mold and died because of some mistakes I did. Other than that, it has been growing fat and nicely with multiple good size colas through LST. In the last week I had to apply wire as colas were becoming so fat, probably due to the addition of floralicious plus, that the branches were bending.

Grow: 10/10: it is nice to grow it: never showed deficiencies and had a beautiful purple bud coloration. In addition, it is very resistant to pests. At the end of flowering I could smell the chocolate and coffee smell. Taste/smell: 5/10 sadly, after drying and then curing for 15 days, no chocolate or coffee can be smelled or tasted, in fact, taste is earthy. High: 7/10: it has a very clear positive high. Excellent as a daysmoke, it is not strong, and it is very functional, does not cause paranoia, and it does have some mild Indica sedation at the end. But it is just not amazing and I have tried more amazing strains, that plus the fact that the final product did not taste like chocolate means I'm not growing it again.

Update: The buds have been curing for a week now and they smell now like cookie dough. When smoking, the chocolate smell and taste is a mild after effect, not as strong and noticeable as the Choko strain signature from Choko club Barcelona that I felt in love with. It makes me sad to know that finding that holy grail available in the market is going to take years. As for the effects, they are, sadly, disappointing: A bit happy and uplifting, not euphoric at all, and very clear. Nothing special, sadly. And this is consistent with other reports I have read, and also, I had grown this strain before in very bad conditions which I blamed for the poor effects but now I realize the strain is not special, besides some chocolate hints and nice purple bud colors, and easy of growing. Will not grow again. Old report before update: good production, I could have gotten way more but I wanted to restrain size. Lovely very purple buds. Branches need wire to support the weight. Smells like chocolate and coffee at the end of flowering. Very nice big buds brown+purple in coloration! Just tried it immediately after drying: smoke was harsh, didnt taste or smell much of the chocolate and the high was very clear yet not very euphoric and it definitely had a sleepy come down, not very euphoric as I thought. I would say I'm a bit disappointed at the moment but have yet to cure and after curing it is possible that better effects, smell and taste will happen. Will report.
