Planted on December 1st, 2020, it has already begun to grow vigorously in size compared to the Alaskan Purple beside it. Topped it above the first set of 5 fingered leaves, in this grow I’m trying a 4-way LST tech in the usual coco hempy bucket setup. As a lover of orange genetics, I am stoked to be growing this lady out. Cheers
With the bulk of LST now in effect, i will now start adding silica into my nutrients to strengthen the stems, as well as increase airflow with my in-tent fans.
I must repeat that this plant has been straight up vigorous so far, a full step ahead of the Alaskan purple i planted her concurrently with. Save a few leaf spots that I suspect is from either the fresh medium or the tap, she’s brimming with health. Gonna give her another week to grow out and then it’s round two of topping. Cheers all
Debating switching to flower, might go one more week for the yield, at risk of crowding the buds. This girl is shaping up to be a bit of a monster in stature, I’m stoked to watch the buds form in time. Cheers
Update: had to give a bit of a flush with ph’d water halfway through the week due to salt buildup, this can sneak up on you in soilless mediums so I’d recommend monitoring your runoff ppm for sure. It’s just way too easy to overfeed with salts.
Going ahead and switching to 12/12, I can tell she’s going to take off. Going to be an interesting week for these girls. Keepin the MH shining for one more week to reduce stretch before switching to the HPS. Cheers
This plant is exploding; gave it a decent round of defol, probably more to come. This plant has been robust as it gets, and it’s putting off some awfully purdy pre-flowers. Awesome cut so far, cheers.
This plant is stretching tall and looking great, with many good colas developing. Aromatic skunky terpenes are also beginning to show. This plant has been absolutely problem free and vigorous, this genetic profile seems rock solid imo. One more week of stretch then I may defol again. Cheers
Dealt with a bit of nitrogen defiency, definite grower error... Had to almost double the nute dose to compensate. At least the flowers are all good, and she took it while barely showing a hint of struggle. Love this plant, and the terps are going to ramp up this week. Cheers
She's trucking forward as expected, letting off tropical sweet scents and starting to burst with new flower growth. She is a little dark from taking the boosted N meant for the Alaskan, but she's taking it like an absolute champ. Started adding a bit of MPK into the nutes for that mass as well. No problems to speak of on this plant, been a real joy to grow so far and I'm stoked to see how she and the purp finish up. Until next week, cheers
Flowers are growing quickly and frosting up, and the tent smells amazing. Switching out the MPK for snow storm ultra this week for a little boost of growth and frostiness due to the alfalfa. Cheers
Starting a slow flush till harvest. Got some fungus gnats from my girl’s house plants, which isn’t ideal, but putting some sand over the wet coco to stop em. Plant is smelling and looking great, bit yellow on the top tho which I’m keeping an eye on. Cheers
I think the yellowing is most likely due to light burn, got the lights on 300w until harvest, but I’m not too worried. She’s been getting by through thick and thin, and harvest can’t come soon enough. Cheers
The fade is underway, hopefully will chop on Monday and slowly hang dry her whole for two weeks before trimming. Terps of Skunky Orange Cream, and some slight tip purpling starting to appear on sugar leaves. Cheers
