Probably last week of veg. M.O.B. is transitioning into full flower mode as well as Sour Blueberry. Lots of flower heads! Blue Dream and CMOG trailing behind still popping lots of pistils. Blue Dream still struggling a bit with N deficiency, much heavier feeder than I expected 😞. Hopefully won't be a problem because of the little time left in veg. I took clones about 6 weeks ago of each of them and they've been doing excellently. Just flipped them into flower 2 weeks ago. Going to start topdressing and feeding with guano teas next week or two.

Best way to fight spider mites?

I highly advise to use neem oil and spray on the foliage. Make sure to spray the top and underside of the leaf.you may also try insecticidal soaps. The key is to reputedly spray the foliage as it is instructed on the packaging. Typically you will have to do it for a week or so every day to make sure that you have killed everything. You could if you would like as well but large mosquito netting and drape it over the plants. Place ladybugs inside and they should devour the spider mites. Every grow I use lady bugs I typically have no issues. Good luck on your grow!

As a few grow diary members are finding out, our blue dream is one heavy feeding strain and typically needs 50% stronger feed than other strains πŸ‘ They are all looking in tip top shape for outdoor plants but I would try to get some organic pesticides or predators to take care of the big issue. Predators would be my preference mate πŸ˜‰ Keep the outdoor updates coming. We love seeing our strains grown as nature intended, very cool πŸ‘ Kind regards Team-HSO..

please do keep the updates coming, may be small now, but especially if they are going outdoor, itll be really nice to look back to germination when they are giants! HSO is a top notch breeder, running their blue dream right now, loving it. hearty genetics all around their stock! the blue dream will get SUPPPER tall out doors compared with rest of your batch

Hi @AlbinoFarmer! The best way to kill them is to mix neem-oil with water and spray your mix at night onto and below the leaves. If you can't find neem-oil, alcohol will do the job, mix 1 part alcohol with 9 part of water, this should not hurt your plants. You need to react as fast as you can so your yield won't be too much affected. Hope this helps, keep us up-to-date and good luck with these invaders. πŸ‘Š

@Stick, fantastic advice to combat the outdoor pests which cause so much havoc :) Neam oil wirk fantastic and natural. Much better than chemical pesticides in my opinion and better not only for the plants but our surrounding :) Kind regards Team-HSO..

@AlbinoFarmer. iwould say your blue dream got again spider mites. look under the leaves. Did you check the PH? that would be a reason too. I lokked at several pictures did not found a specifi defiency that fits to the spots. maybe anyone other knows it dare to post a grower question greetings

And like others said, using a teaspoon of neem oil mixed with a little dishwashingsoap into a spraybottle with water and spray on them they really dont like it. i had some mites and thrips on my figue... but now no more i sprayed 2 times

@AlbinoFarmer Outdoor-growing in new england is a question of timing. You did it well as i looks. Happy growing... be prepared to build a higher roof for september to protect them from rain

A nice selection of HSO genetics so you know we will be watching with interest my friend :) 100% germination is always a great start to any grow and good call on starting indoors due to your reduced outdoor grow season :) Best of luck with your outdoor adventures my friend and I'll be back in on the next update to check progress out :) Thank you for starting this diary on the grow diary platform. It's filled with great people and some very knowledgeable growers you'll be right at home :) Kind regards Team-HSO..

Looking sweet! What is the chicken wire for on the bottom of the smart pots?
Humboldt_Seed_Organisation
Humboldt_Seed_Organisationcommented7 years ago
@McLovinVT, You will find that a lot of outdoor growers use chicken wire or cages to protect there plants from a lot of pests such as rabbits, dears and apparently chipmunk. They all love this plant so we must protect the best we can :) Another week and some very solid growth :) Looking really good from here :) Kind regards Team-HSO..

@McLovinVT, mostly to keep the chipmunks from digging up the soil, those little monsters destroy everything in my yard 😠

@AlbinoFarmer,yeah I s defo a 2 man job to pot change Any bigger lol Defo look forward drr these ladies flourish .
AlbinoFarmer
AlbinoFarmercommented7 years ago
@Fergie, I'm planning on keeping them in the 25s, it would be far too much work to transplant them to anything bigger. I'm sure they're going to quickly outgrow these pots but I think they'll be okay and should have a decent harvest.

i have had good luck with cold pressed neem oil, mixed with RO water and foliar spray or mist on plants, or soil where ever they are. and 11 weeks veg these girls are going to be MONSTROUS after flip, blue dream gets huge in flower!
Humboldt_Seed_Organisation
Humboldt_Seed_Organisationcommented6 years ago
@Jack_Greenstalk, if the pest issue can be controlled or eliminated I agree. This has the potential to produce some monster flowers :) Looking on point so far and can't wait to watch how this outdoor adventure progresses :) Kind regards Team-HSO..

Sorry to read about the dear attack my friend. This is one of the challenges with outdoor growing and you are taking precaution so this does not happen again πŸ‘ Apart from that the plants are loving the sun and growing well 😎 I love all cannabis plants but I really do love seeing our strains being grown as nature intended πŸ‘ Keep the our door updates coming we like what we see 😎 Kind regards Team-HSO..
