Hi everyone! This is my 1st journal, and overall my 2nd grow (the 1st grow had three plants - two of which are still in the tent going through the final 1-2 weeks before darkness/chop. Not documented in a journal). The green wall on the left is meant for veggies and greens later on (the propagator on the right side is full of various seeds) and will be filled up once I have enough seedlings and the automated watering system is set up (estimate 1-2 weeks). What are we growing? 11/1: 2x ChemDawg Auto - Both germinated on Jan 7th, and both are looking swell. One of the two has a mutation and seems to have three true leaves rather than 2. I've seen a YouTuber have this once. It could cause increased growth over the first few weeks. I like it! 1x Amnesia Auto - Germinated on Jan 10th. Looking strong and healthy so far. 1x White Widow Auto - Germinated on Jan 10th. A bit smaller than the rest, but overall healthy. 1x Glue Gelato - Still in germination (seed planted on Jan 11th). In general, all seedlings which germinated (4 out of 5 so far) got around 50-100 ml of the above watering solution (except no recharge) on the day of germination. 12/1: Topsoil was dry this morning on my four live seedlings. A poke in the soil showed it was a bit moist but could use a pick up before drying up (which we definitely don't want to happen during the seedling stage). I went ahead and prepared a full mixture (RO water + 0.2 ml/l cal-mag, 0.3 ml/l Perfect Grow (NPK 7-3-5 with all relevant micro except cal-mag), 10ml/l of liquid worm humus, 1.5ml/l of Photosynthesis Plus, and a tiny bit of RealGrowers Recharge to super jump start the soil (1st time growing with it - I heard its a BLAST). Watered around 200-250 ml per seedling to really wet the soil around them and have them start rooting like mad (during my 1st grow I was surprised at how fast their roots grow). On a side note, Photosynthesis Plus, liquid worm humus, and Recharge are not fertilizers per say. They enable better absorption of the main fertilizer (Perfect Grow) and improve overall soil microbial life.

I've learned a lot from my 1st (undocumented) grow and expect the current one to be significantly better. With that said, I am still a noob and would appreciate any comments and tips experienced growers might have for this run. Thanks!

Autos prefer to be in their final pot to start. Measure your EC and pH daily, especially if coco is your main medium. For pH, 5.8 is perfect in coco through veg then 6.0-6.2 for flower. Follow EC recommendations online,, much moreso than the instructions on the manufacturers bottle. Remember that coco often holds onto residual calmag so it's a good idea to alternate between using it and not using it. Look up a ppfd map for your specific light. You want 400 for seedling, 600 for veg, and 900 for flower. You can go higher if you have CO2.
