3rd Grow - Gorilla Cookies Auto

So 3rd grow has begun....! Hooray, celebrations and joyful tidings...!! All 5 seeds popped. 4 Gorilla Cookies auto and 1 lemon pie. All Fastbuds. So full of potential and each one beautiful in it’s own way. After successful 2nd grow the plan with these is to replicate but improve on mistakes of grow 2. I don’t want to rip up and do something completely different. Evolution not revolution. So it’s organic dry amendments worm castings and insect grass in my soil / coco / perlite medium. Got the timings of the amendments a bit all over the place last time so that’s the main area of improvement. Training is the second area of improvement and generally making full use of my space. 3rd area for improvement is I may treat myself to some glitzy new led’s if I’m good and eat all my veggies etc. Summer on the way so may be forced to with heat issues. So 2 weeks down and all looks good. Transplanted from my starter cups on D11. Roots looked healthy. Very white with tiny hairs on em. And they’re just starting grow quickly now. The big plant in my tent is being harvested tomorrow/ next day so will free up room for these ladies. All good for now, big events coming up this week will be the first bit of last and of course the naming ceremony. In other news the gorilla cookies from last grow is just starting to cure and is so delicious and so potent. Just love it. Thanks for reading, have a great week 😊

So plants have gone well this last week. (Some twisted growth on a few leaves which I’m not stressing about) So decided to do 1st training. Taller ones got some lst, shorter ones just some tactical defoliation to enable lower branches to catch up to the top (may top these ones, we’ll see). Pics taken a few days ago and all have responded well to the training, all praying to the light again. So this next week is just some more lst as required and not overwatering like a noob. Smoking the last harvest in earnest now. The gorilla cookies is so flippin delicious I love it. Anyway thanks for reading, have a great week.😊

So another week ticked off, with all going to plan so far. Plants all responding well to training (just lst & some tactical defoliation). All are showing their first pistils so expecting them to start stretching any time now. Only plain dechlorinated ph’d water so far into my home made dry amended soil / coco / castings mix. Will top dress at the next watering and perhaps a compost tea at the end of this / start of next week. As for the smoking, I have started to smoke a little of the strawberry pie auto from last harvest which is just starting to cure. I might even prefer it to the gorilla cookies, it’s so dank. Therefore a little bit cross with myself for not including at least 1 this round. Still, first world problems I guess. Anyway thanks for reading, have a great week. 😊

So another week successfully chalked off. Moved from organic powdered nutrients up to this point onto synthetic nutes. Also cleaned up all of their skirts and nipped off any buds that will turn into larf. Plus a defoliation in the canopies. And they have all responded well, really stretching now and I’ve spotted a few trichomes already. So all swimmingly at the moment long may it continue. Thanks for reading, have a great week 😊

Another week checked off and looking pretty good. 1st nutes were are little heavy a think with a little bite burn so have dialled it right back (only fed twice) nothing since. Overall all the girls seem healthy & happy apart from one... She seems to start drooping before the others at the end of the day and just seems less lively. She’s drinking about the same as the others so not sure. Will just keep watching not panic and see what happens. Think the stretch has just about stopped and I’ve filled up the canopy pretty well. Hopefully just big fat stinky buds from here... Spent quite a bit of time on YouTube etc learning this week. Feel like I’ve spotted a few places I’m still going wrong but some easy fixes so all good feel richer for the experience etc... Thanks for reading have a great week 😊

Week 8 done and stretch all done. Pretty happy with the space I’ve filled out now, just need to get through the next few weeks and should be a success. All look quite different, 3 and 4 super frosty. 1 and 2 not really. Just not overwatering or over feeding and trying to be patient. Really hoping they get fat and colourful but will take what I get. Now smoking the Strawberry pie which has cured nicely from the last run. So nice, feeling very grateful to my earlier self for growing it. Thanks for reading have a great week 😊

Week 9 done and mostly looking ok so I’ll take it! Lemon Pie is looking very yellow due to me not twigging quickly enough it had gone through all the nutes in the soil. Once I corrected it hasn’t regained much colour. The buds do look quite nice though and actually smells lemony. May chop her at some point this week as I’ve run out of quality weed. I’m left with some weed I grew out from a free seed, yielded really well but is nowhere near the stank level of the previous gorilla cookies & strawberry pies. So a good yield was actually a pretty shitty thing. Then spread the remaining 4 out for another week or 2 and hope they get a bit fatter. Doing nothing special at the mo just feed water feed, watching the plants and trying to stay patient. So here’s a mad thought. - I may land up chucking out like 5 ounces of this current weed I’m smoking. It ain’t even bad! Still way better than the average street weed I was smoking before I started growing. I’ll never sell or even tell another real person, I’m too paranoid. So in the bin it may go... Ask me a year ago if I bring myself to chuck 5 oz of weed..? Crazy world we live in. Thanks for reading, have a great week 😊

So the pics are few days old due to there being a problem with my page for some reason. Buds aren’t really getting fat and the girls have yellowed quite a bit since I took these pics on Monday. Still learning I think I just didn’t start feeding them early or heavily enough and they never really recovered. It looks like my yields will be well down vs my 2nd grow which was all organic... which I may go back to for G4. Anyways, given them big feeds and plan to harvest the most developed plant end of this week and let the others go another few weeks to see if they gain any weight. So lessons learnt. So despite more yellowing leaves... and quit a few completely dying the buds have actually swelled quite a bit this week. Chopped GC1 on D75 and she’s just drying. Buds are small yield also gonna be quite small but the do look frosty. Gonna chop GC4 in the next few days and the other 2 in a week or so. Hope they get just a little bit fatter before they come down. So I’ve had a talk with myself over this grow which has well underperformed vs grow 2. And the learning is... I got cocky, didn’t have my plan down to start with. Didn’t keep notes. Got found out. So I’ve decided to pop my next load of seeds. - 3 strawberry pies & 2 gorilla cookies. And let them start their lives for the first week or in the shade of these girls. Plan written down, areas I messed up fixed. And just to make sure I’ve leant my lesson I’m am not going to let myself drop 500 notes on a new led (which I was going to..) until I get the actual growing / care of plants down much better. So onto week 12 and overall pretty good. Of the 2 still going they’ve really fattened up which is great, although both are spitting out new pistils which is not so great. Going to let them go another week or so and see what happens. In other news successful start to the next run. Gorilla Cookies & Strawberry Pies all germinated and are away. So tiny but so full of potential... lovely little things. And started to smoke the 1st gorilla cookies from this run. Needs curing but is so dank so I’m happy. Thanks for reading have a great week 😊

So nearly there I think. 1 more watering for GC3 and maybe another one after that. Definitely harvest GC3 by the end of this week Think they’ve benefited from the extra time, certainly have fattened up so may rescue what has been an underwhelming grow this time round. Still the weed I’m smoking now was GC2 and is a really nice smoke. So all in all glass is half full. Thanks for reading have a great week 😊

Nearly there. Only 1 left which I will chop on Friday as I’m off to the seaside for the weekend! Woohoo! Really pleased with GC3, much bigger and better buds than the others in this grow.
