I’m starting my second grow. My new plants sprouted almost one week ago, except for the Critical which took a little longer and only sprouted a couple days ago. I will give them another week before starting to use any kind of nutrients, and the first nutrient that I’ll be using is Root Juice by Biobizz.
Second week. Started using Root Juice by Biobizz and the plants seem to like it since they are growing twice as fast as my first grow on which I didn’t use this nutrient. Black Dom is showing some weird stains called variegation, but I don’t know what’s causing it. Hopefully I’ll get an answer here.
Third week. Already started the LST on Black Dom and Northern Lights. Also started feeding them veg nutrients (bio-grow). I noticed that growth speed slowed down a little bit after I tied down the stem, and I suppose it’s normal.
Week 4 and my plants are already flowering, except for Black Dom which is having issues since I started doing LST on them. It seems like the variegation thing makes the plant less susceptible to accept LST, and now she is taking some time to recover, but hopefully she will flower soon. On the other hand the LST is making wonders on the other 2 plants, I’m glad I followed the advise of one of my fellow growers from this platform.
Critical and Northern Lights are shooting up like crazy after I started the LST, but Black Dom is stuck, not flowering nor stretching... I think the stress was too much and is going to affect yield. Unfortunately I use the same tent to dry my plants, so I will probably have to get rid of Black Dom, since the other 2 plants are going to be ready for harvest waaaay before and I will need the tent to dry them...
I removed Black Dom from the grow tent. it’s stuck, and in order to decrease the humidity I decided to keep it out until the other 2 are ready for harvest. I will probably put it back if it survives until then. Now the other 2 plants are looking good, growth has slowed down, but I think it’s because they are more focused on the buds now.
I increased the amount of Bio Bloom and Top Max this week, but today my plants started showing some minor signs of nutrient burn, so I decided to flush them, and start giving a smaller amount of those nutrients. Other then that, they are looking pretty healthy and Critical is showing a huge amount of trichomes...
My plants are looking good. Decided to start flushing them since I’m getting some amber trichomes. I believe they’ll be ready for harvest in a week or so... The top buds are looking amazing, bigger than on my previous grow, hopefully I won’t lose any of them to mold, cause I’m have a hard time trying to keep humidity at 50%
This was the first week of flushing, going for the second and final one. I believe they will be ready within 4 or 5 days. Northern lights has the biggest cola I’ve ever seen, I’m praying for the cannabis god that it doesn’t get mold since the humidity is floating around 60%... Wish me luck on the final week guys haha
Hey man ! Glad its going good ! Just a tip on the LST... maybe it’s a good idea to tie down the base of the stem so it shoots straight out of the soil and then bend it over (kind of reverse L shape).
Happy growing !
@Carrascovsky, look at the second picture I posted today. I have a string holding the stem in the oposite direction of the LST. That way the main stem starts upwards and then you bend it 90 degrees. From that bent stem many new ones will rise !
Looking awesome ! Congrats mate !
Just two comments:
1. The Critical is having “the claw”. I think that’s nitrogen deficiency, but since you’re flushing, maybe this one useless hahaha
2. I think I read somewhere that the top of the Northerns main cola’s shape is a symptom of having the light too close.
Hope at least the second one helps !
Happy growing !!!
@Weedinho, Thanks bro! Yeah, I notice the claw on my Critical, but since I’m on the last week I didn’t worry too much. But the second tip is really useful, I had no idea that the light being too close could affect the cola’s format. Hopefully it’s only a matter of aesthetics... That happened because I failed on the LST, so I kept the light close so the buds on the bottom get some light too, but thanks for the tip, I will try to improve that on my next grow, it’s gonna be my first photo period, so I will be able to work my LST better on that one.
Oh and I’ve been meaning to ask you... I saw you had mold problems in your previous grow... my humidity is pretty high too (this week around 60-75%). I even have a small dehumidifier but it doesn’t seem to be enough... are you planning any countermeasures for this issue ? Please let me know !!!
@Weedinho, So, the mold issue I had on my previous grow was because I had to be out for 2 days, so I didn’t drain out the water from the dehumidifier (it’s a small one too). I don’t know where you are but here in the southeast it’s not too humid, and I was able to keep humidity at 55/60% as long as I kept the dehumidifier empty.
Looking great !!! Since the Black Dom hasn’t started flowering it will have time to recover for sure ! Glad to hear the tip worked !
Nice pre flowers on the other two... I guess you’ll harvest before me (ENVY ! hahahaha)
Happy growing mate !
