Mephistos Sour Stomper decided to raise its head today!
GENETICS:
- Mephisto - Sour Stomper ~ Heard great things about Mephisto and their consistency so decided to use them as the first seed for my dialled in and complete system . Sour Stomper is supposed to be a good smoke and decent yielder too, as such, this is the strain I'm running first.
- First seed germinated and was above ground in about 3 days.

- Ambient Air Temp = 27/28'C ~ 26/27'C LST ~ Leaf to air temp variance of between 1-2'C
- Night Temp = 21/22'C ~ Day/Night temp differential 6-7'C

Partial harvest. Harvested about 50g early.
Used my new harvest right freeze dryer to dry and cure the buds in like 12 hours @ 75F drying temp. Stopped the dryer early to retain some moisture. Will stop sooner next time as I still needed a bovida pack to rehydrate them a bit.
Buds tasted and smelled better than anything I’ve smoked before(including Amsterdam grade weed). Insane clear flavours. Beautiful strain too, grapey like some excellently grown slurricane I had tasted before, sour and funky.
Nice mellow high, very nice. You know you’ve been hit but you can still function.

/infection preventions, I would do the same, it's the second time of my grower life I've got some Thrips, have a great culture my friend..😉
@HillsideManor, I don't know actually. I aim for a Daily Light Integral of 50-55.
To calculate the DLI, I use the PPFD, Spectrums of the light I'm using and the light cycle hours.
If you're using LED's and don't have the the equipment to measure, follow these steps:
- Move your light closer day by day until you see some slight light bleaching on the leaves closest to the light.
- Then move light back about an Inch or a little more until the bleaching stops on the new growth.
If you do that and get the light as close as possible to bleaching without doing damage, that'll give you the highest DLI your plant can handle.

I have considered that but I run a perpetual auto grow. I've found keeping at 50-55% is the best compromise for all the growth stages.
@Lou_Grows, yeah, you're right it was heat stress. It's a perpetual grow, so I'm trying to find an optimal balance that suits Seedlings, Vegging plants and flowering plants, all in the same room.
The seedlings and veg plants get crazy fast growth at 31/32'C with the high Co2 levels. But the late flowering stage (Last 3-4 weeks) plants can't seem to handle temps over 28'C even with the Co2.
I have settled on (26'C, with about 600ppm of Co2, and 50-55% RH) for future grows so I can push the Vegging and seedling plants as fast as possible without heat stressing the plants that are near harvest.
I've only been growing 5 months in total, and only my second full run of plants. So it'll take time to dial things in totally perfect for all the different strains and stages of growth running all at the same time.
