Seedsman White Widow. I accidentally killed my first seedling as a sprout by getting it wet right as it was sprouting. Live and learn. Here we go again and she's off to a much better start this time. 👍 My Perpetual Harvest strategy…. Originally my plan was to start 2 seeds each month, but had some seeds from one breeder that did not germinate early in my rotation. Ultimately, this caused single seeds to pop and messed up my 2 at a time plans. But, that seemed to work out OK, because now I think starting one seed every 3 weeks is a better strategy. This should provide me with 4-5 plants at a time, instead of 6. However… Since I need to shut down over the summer because my tent is currently in the attic, I’m starting 2-3 seeds at at time for the last couple of rounds. Plants get fed once weekly on weekends. Seedlings get water only. Plants in vegetation get water and Recharge. Flowering plants get water, Recharge or Big Bloom (Fox Farm). Feeding is done using 2 gallon watering can. Any additional waterings during the week are given on an as needed basis per plant. I lift the plants to help determine which plants are more dry (lighter) and provide water any plants via water bottles and watering spikes. I give each pot a quarter turn every day in an effort to make sure the plants get equal lighting from all sides. I rotate the plant in place by turning the pot 90 degrees (I am not rearranging the layout of the plants in the tent on a daily basis). The soil is an ‘organic super soil’ I mixed myself using organic top soil, organic potting soil, organic compost, organic peat moss, organic perlite, organic vermiculite, lime, epsom salt, expanded clay pellets and Jobe’s organic fast start. I am also recycling my soil and water with Recharge when using recycled soil. For plant training I have tried a variety of things, but my plans now are to do LST bending only, no HST anymore. I may decide to go back to HST again in the future, but I’m curious to compare LST training only to see how that goes. Around week 3 I'll do a FIM pinch once there are 4-5 nodes established. And some defoliation around the 3rd week of flowering. I have been doing HST bending and having good results, but think the HST may be causing the plants to take longer to harvest. I hope FIM/defoliation only will help increase harvests while getting me to harvest sooner. Setup: 1- Grow Tent 24”x48”x72” 2- Viparspectra 300W LED’s (1-V300 & 1-R300) 1- Hanging 100w CFL (26w actual) 1- Carbon Filter w/ 190cfm Fan & 4” ducts 1- 6” clip-on fan 1- 700w electric heater - oil filled radiator (in front of air intake behind tent)

White Widow week 2. Showing some nice growth so far. Once she starts putting out a few nodes I think I am going to give here a 90 degree LST bend - that seemed to work GREAT with my Mexican Airlines (the colas from the lower branches were huge). 👍

Seedsman White Widow is starting to get huge! I overdosed her with Recharge this week, (1 tbs instead of .5 tsp). She liked it! I'll be OD'ing the Recharge more in the future. 👍

White Widow is looking amazing!!! I continue to be impressed by Seedsman strains. Huge bushy leaves, nice green color and she grew a ton this week. Overloading with Recharge is giving me AMAZING results. I'm going to continue giving 1 tbs/gallon, the plants love it (and so do I) 👍

I consider this the last week of veg, some might call it the first week of flower. But she looks great what ever you want to call it. I continue to be impressed with Seedsman strains. I'll be growing more from Seedsman in the future! 👍

White Widow is officially in flower now!! Nice little bud sites developing. Also started using Mammoth P this week. I'm excited to see what Mammoth P does with my girls, the reviews have been pretty outstanding!

White Widow is looking very good. Nice bud site development coming along. I backed down a little on the Recharge this week, but still giving twice the suggested amount. Also still giving her Mammoth P. Will start with MegaCrop (Greenleaf) nutrients later this week. 👍

White Widow is coming along nicely. Good bud development this week. She still has several weeks to go. My attic (where my grow tent is) is getting pretty hot these days. I'll probably be moving her outside over the next couple of weeks to avoid heat issues in the tent. Hoping for the best! 🙏

This White Widow has some super fat buds on her. And they feel dense as hell!!! Still several weeks away from harvest, but I'm totally looking forward to the smoke report. 👊

Hello GrowDiaries Friends, Unfortunately I was in a car accident last week. I shattered my heal bone (calcaneus), fractured my face and tore open the side of my face around my eye. I’ve had a few surgeries to put things back in place and I’m feeling better each day. However, my injuries prevent me from caring for my plants personally. One of my best friends (who is also a grower) has been helping with feeding the girls and my wife has been pitching in with waterings also. All of my plants are still doing well, but its too much to ask for them to take pics and videos as I would normally do to update my diaries. I’ll be off my feet for at least 2 months, but I do plan on updating my diaries as I can. Which will probably be mostly harvest reports. I’ll miss taking care of my plants and doing more GD updates for now, but I’ll be back!!!

I still can't tend to my plants myself due to my broken heal bone (calcaneus). My buddy has been feeding the plants and my wife has been watering and taking pics for me. We cut her down this weekend and have her drying now. I'll post the harvest report once I've had a taste! 👍

Happy Harvest Day!

Its a nice day for a White Widow!... 😃 This Seedsman White Widow was a pleasure to grow. She stayed short, but the buds were huge! 👍 Definitely Indica dominant, but I'm able to function fine in the daytime after smoking a couple of bowls. The taste is kind of average for good weed, not too fruity, not too sour, just in the middle.

This White Widow Auto from Seedsman might be the easiest plant I've grown so far. It held up great to a variety of stresses due to my accident, like under watering, high heat, under feeding, etc... She always looked great and showed no signs of stress. My buddy who has been helping with feedings always mentioned this plant specifically when giving me updates on how the plants were doing. He was always impressed and was looking forward to smoking some. Now he has and says it was worth the wait! I'll be growing this White Widow Auto again as well as other Seedsman strains! 👊 Thanks again to everyone here on GrowDiaries for your support after my accident. You guys rule! 👍

What is the LED you are using? Is 600w the true wattage? Nice plant!
DudeGrowsWeed
DudeGrowsWeedcommented6 years ago
@sslippinjimmy, sorry I missed this question several months ago, But thank you to @Deranged420 for answering. At the time of this diary I had a V300 and a V300R both in the same tent, so 256 watts for both fixtures. The V300R has more reds and is supposed to be better for flowering but Viparspectra still says both are good for veg through flower. Personally, I find the reds from the V300R harsher on my eyes and also it seems too strong for young seedlings/clones. If I could do it again, I wish I bought 2 V300's with more of an overall spectrum. But that's because I'm flowering under HPS now and using the LED's for mothers, clones, seedlings and veg.

Deranged420commented6 years ago
@sslippinjimmy, I have a V300 as well and it draws exactly 128 Watts.
DudeGrowsWeed
DudeGrowsWeedcommented7 years ago
@sslippinjimmy, I have 2 300w LED’s from Viparspectra. One is a V300 and the other is a R300. They say they are both full spectrum and can both be used for veg and flower. But the R300 has more reds for better flowering. I don’t think they actually draw 300w of power, but I don’t know what the actual power draw is.

@Deranged420, Wow, thanks for commenting on this post. I haven't looked back at these pics in a while. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the Seedsman strains overall. Great strains at great prices. I did have some that took a little longer to switch to flower, but were worth the wait in the end. Good luck with yours!

Nice going, if anything like mine you got another 4 weeks, if the attic is hot already I can only imagine what it'll be in june/july.

@Dirtydraggel, Yeah, it’s going to be hot as hell up there. I’m going to move the girls outside soon.
