Taproots showed up when on glass of water then transferred seedlings to cotton pads but after a couple of days without much grow I decided to plant them in the Jiffy pellets.
It's my very first time growing so I'm afraid I'm rushing things a bit.
It's pretty warm weather now so I'm not turning the light on until they break ground.
It's pretty warm here right now already. When is the right moment to turn the light on? It's a dual spectrum 300w CFL under a 470x470 reflector and both seedlings are auto fem. What's the best light schedule? 24/0? 18/6? Thanks

Ze hebben dit naar mijn mening toch wel nodig om goed te groeien.
Probeer je timer zo in te stellen dat de lampen uit zijn op de warmste uren van de dag😉
Bij autoflowers blijft dit natuurlijk dezelfde lichtcyclus, maar ik deed dit zo met mijn fotoperiode planten.
Bij 18/6 draaiden ze op de koudste momenten en bij 12/12, liet ik mijn lampen vooral in de nacht branden.
Dat maakte dat de dag-nachttemperatuur niet zo een groot verschil gaf en de plant geen last had van de koude nachten waarmee ik hier te maken kreeg.
Maar jij kan dus die 6 uren gebruiken voor de warmste momenten🙂

They started to grow fast once I sowed then on the pellets. Took basically one week between the first day of the seeds from water glass to break soil.
All seems to be good but I notice that the pellets soil dries pretty quickly at least at the top of the pot. Maybe I'm too worried but I'm keeping a eye every now and then to not dry them out.
I'm waiting the thermometer / hygrometer and the reflective foil to be delivered soon so I'll be able to get the best from my setup.

I had problems with high heat the night after I installed the reflective wrap on my custom cabinet. I finished the setup just before bed (how stupid could it be? 😒). Woke up to take a leak and check on my babies. The temp was fuckin 45⁰C inside (24 outside). I just kept the cabinet opened and checked in the morning to see that the Banana OG (indica dominant) has the leaves kinda sad and curling. Since then I installed a fan and it's keeping the temp just under 30⁰C but I'll need to invest in some exhaust / fan pretty soon...
Just repot them in the final pot in tomato pot mix with 20% perlite. They are stretching quickly and growing strong. The smell is getting stronger and I'll need install the exhaust w/ carbon filter soon even though I love the smell 🤣 I had to get some sticky traps as those little bastard flies started to show up. So far so good
The girls are growing great. Stretching a lot but I have lots of vertical room but the horizontal is missing a bit. Keeping light on the fertilizer as they are looking healthy, growing fast and happy. There are still around 7 weeks before fully ripe according the auto genetics seeds.
The girls are going great. They grew tall as I didn't do any grow technique. Next time I'll do some LST for sure. I got a 1200x600x2000 grow tent as the smell was getting pretty strong and filling the whole house with that delicious aroma. I'm still feeding them with the same 1000ppm.
As the Blue Monkey Shit shown some white tricommes I started a two weeks flush planning to cut it down at the end of week 12. This is faster than I was expecting (100 days) but it looks skinny to be quite honest. The Banana OG is starting to surprise me. I kinda lost hope after the heat shock event on week 2 and the slow grow on the following weeks. But surpriselly it grew taller and bushier than her neighbour and it's fattening quickly. The cola looks way bigger as well and the tricommes are spreading like snow. Both plants required some tying as the colas are too heavy (I guess they haven't grew stronger than they suppose to).
I'm going to harvest the Blue Monkey Shit as it is showing some golden tricomes and as it is said by the genetics that is a THC predominant strain I want the higher THC I can get from it. The Banana OG just started her second week of flush and I'm planning to harvest it in a week depending on how the tricomes are developing.
The seed was easy from germination to harvest. Great resistance to weather (got through some good heat and cold during her grow). Pretty skinny without any training. The buds look beautiful and the smell in the tent is delicious. I was lucky to come across this strain just on my first grow as even though the harvest was waaaaay lower I expected this plant grew healthy and beautiful enough to keep my confident up. I'll try grow this strain again after I get some experience on LST to try get the most of it.
The taste is quite not right yet as I'm still curing it but it's dry enough to give it a go. The high is pretty intense (heaps better than the PGR shit I'm used to), very uplifiting and relaxing. Great to have a chat with friends while sharing a joint. My partner got quite talkative and elphoric while I got more relaxed (but not stone relaxed) and happy. So good hapinness overall here.
For a first harvest (and grow) it was a pretty safisfying experience although the only one ounce out of it was a real bummer. I know the lack of training plus my lack of skills (probably got some nutrients lockdown halfway and never even noticed) haven't allowed her to shiny but tasting my first own grown, without all the shit they put on the PGR garbage I usually have and having a great experience all the way is simple irreplaceable.
And this is finally the last week of the Banana OG. I thought that she would be good by the end of week 13 but she is reaaaally slow but I should've guessed that as she was a late bloomer. The cola is huge (my photos don't give her enough credit) and feels dense although it doesn't look like it. There are plenty of small / medium sized buds that would have grown better if I had done some LST but I wasn't confident enough. Not the case anymore as the next girl is going through the first bending in a week or two. I'm putting it out the tent to give it at least 2 days of full darkness and my cat just loves eating the small fan leaves 😺😅 Not eating my buds we're cool 😹
I'm still curing most of the buds but couldn't resist to smoke this beauty as is on one week only on jar with 62% RH Boveda packs. The buds are sticky and pretty dense (not pgr dense of course) but feels like it still could dry a couple of weeks more. Even so my partner and I are smoking it every day and I could describe it as an indica dominant strain with an excellent relaxing effect. You get either sofa stoned high laughing at cat videos on YouTube or creative discussing about civil war in Latin American countries, simulation theories or how you could eat an entire cow or just a pad Thai as it really quicks in some serious munchies.
Pretty surprising late bloomer grew from a sad little heat shocked plant to a big girl. I could say that she was pretty easy to grow as I made a lot of basic mistakes with her (ignored ph adjustment until late in flower stage, didn't topped up substrate, etc etc etc... no proud of my rookieness there) and she still gave me a great quality weed and a pretty average weight. I'll definitely grow this strain again with much more care in a soon future.
I reckon nitro excess and early harvest cost you denser buds hey...but I'm speculating.
From the looks of it though, if you grow it again and it has a few less issues, I reckon it'd be fucking prime shit and I've seen rather a lot of different strains.
Two of the most common issues I see with grows is calcium deficiency and nitrogen excess.

I'm growing 100% organic on my next crop to avoid this kind of issue and the results are already showing off with a strong and fast growing plant. I probably won't grow Banana OG on this semester but def will by the end of the year then I'll be able to compare an improvised first grow result with organic lst and some seasoning on exp.
