Quite a few of the leaves had turned upside down last week probably due to a magnesium deficiency so I used a Epson salt foliar spray to help rectify that along with some CalMag in the feed. I put her back under the lights too early & scorched the hell out of the leaves but thankfully these plants are resilient. Despite feeding her less than on my first grow there's nute burn on her leaf tips... I'll get the right balance one day I hope lol
Under the microscope a lot of the trichomes are now starting to turn cloudy with some clear & sparse ambers showing. Taking into account all the scorched leaves & defoliation she's now been given Advanced nutrients flawless finish & is being flushed with water for 7-10 days before harvest.
After flushing the plant for 6 days it was on the 89th day her stem was split with a knife & kept open with 4 cocktail sticks. Flushing continued until day 93 when the plant at a height of 67cm was cut down & put in a 'herbdryer' *5 tier drying rack with carbon filter extraction fan. The plant was harvested a tad earlier than I would of preferred to but many of the leaves were fecked & I'm running out of weed 😅
After 93 days she was harvested, trimmed & hung to dry for 10 days before curing process in mason jars. I did try to use a 'Herb dryer' 5 tier drying rack with a carbon filter extractor fan but this thing was way too noisy so I stopped using it soon after as it was the polar opposite to being stealthy *don't waste your money on one even if you & your neighbours are deaf you're better off hang drying! So where to start with the strain these girls are easy to grow with a bit of training they'll give you sizable yield. I knowingly committed the cardanol sin of chopping this girl down too early due to running out of smoke 😤 I felt like apologising to my mother for letting her down & RQS for not allowing their strain reach it's potential.... I would rather Tommy Chong smash a 3 foot glass bong off my head than do that again 😂 there were far too little amber trichomes present so as you can imagine my tester smoke felt like sativa. After drying it weighed a respectable 74 grams. I hastily rated this strain 5 stars & can't change it now but after a few months curing I would rate the smoke 7/10. I do like this strain a lot it's easy to train & smells & tastes beautiful I will grow another one for sure but I've got a whole lot of other strains to try my hand at first before that day comes!
