These were planted into the 4th cycle 100 gallon grassroots fabric pot that we converted into a sub irrigated planter. They didn’t seem to skip a beat. We too fed them some kelp and kept the reservoir full of plain water
Week 4 of veg. And we are catching some rove beetles on the sticky traps. We sprayed some Dr. Zymes as I suspect thrips are the reason for the recent bloom of rove beetles. This is the one major downfall to cover crops that I’ve found. That’s the way she goes I guess lol
Week 5. We just kept the Reservoir topped off with regular water. We sprayed some lost coast plant therapy To deal with the thrip outbreak. We will keep hitting them every 3-4 days with the lost coast, Dr. Zymes, and neem oil with various essential oils to get rid of them.
Week 6. We top fed recharge this week and pulled out some of the companion plants to remove any hiding spaces for the thrips. We continue to spray our 3 IPM’s at three day intervals. Plants got cleaned up a bit and are looking good for the most part.
We have been battling thrips in this tent. And while it looks like after removing most of the cover crop and companion plants and being diligent on our foiler sprays we are starting to pull ahead. But know we got some weird stuff going on with the leaves. Anyone know what this might be?
Flipped these ladies 5 days ago. Have them a foiler feeding of neem and some thermx 70. Will be keeping an eye out for any males over the next week or so.
Day 14 since tis room was flipped to a 12/12 light schedule. We ended up culling all the males this week and ended up with 2 ladies. We added some age old fish and seaweed to the top this week and kept the bottom full of regular water.
Day 19 since we flipped the lights to a 12/12 schedule. We added some of build-a-soil’s build-a-bloom at the recommended rates and added a cup of fresh worm castings to the base of each plant.
Day 33 since we switched the light to 12/12. They were fed water and one top feeding of aloe 200x flakes 1/2 tsp per gallon, Thermx-70 2ml per gallon, & coconut water at about 4 ounces per gallon. They smell like a candy store and nail polish. Lol if that makes any sense to anybody.
Day 41 since we switched this room to a 12/12 light schedule. We fed straight water this week with 1/2 teaspoon of aloe flakes. Things seem to be looking good in this room. I have noticed some purple color to some of the buds and they both still have that candy store smell with one lady having slight undertones of nail polish. Lol I’m not to good at describing the aromas.
Looking good on day 47 of flower all things considered. We had our furnace go out and have been struggling to keep the heat above 65. We ran straight water this week and between the cooler temps and natural senescence they are starting to fade a bit. The smell is super strong on these ladies.
Day 56 since we switched to a 12/12 light schedule. We have just been feeding them plain ol water. They are senescing beautifully and the smells have the whole place stinking.
Day 63 since we flipped to flower and these ladies are done. Fed nothing but water and spent the last 24 hours in the dark before they got chopped. Almost forgot to grab some photos before I dropped them. Smell is amazing. This was a fun one to grow out.
