Day 1
Seedlings popped through Coco on 1/28 morning!!
Had to help Swiss Cheese 1 get her helmet off, otherwise all looks good in the solo cups.
Transplanting worked for me last time so when these autos are ready to be moved I will be moving them to 3gal fabric pots and going to experiment by using a hot soil with OG and SC1 while using the General Hydroponics trio on the SC2 in solely coco
Sorry guys!
A lot has happened over the past 2 months that has led me astray from keeping up in the diary’s!
Bottom line, all 3 plants OG, Swiss 1, and Swiss 2 have made it to flowering while the Swiss’ are much further along than the OG.
What Happened:
I took a weeks vacation, over that time unfortunately I was let down with the trusted source to water the plants once. :(. On top of that the power had gone out for a full 16hrs. The girls did not like this too much. I think it prematurely flipped the Swiss cheese into flower as it was behind the OG which had already began to flower before i had left. Regardless, one of the Swiss’ recovered nicely and kept growing while the other Swiss seems to have stunted at only 8” tall.
I’m not overalls upset, the buds on the Swiss cheese look like they will be fat and dense yet in a limited quantity.
The OG kush though doesn’t seem like it is going to produce that typical OG bud. It’s airy, lanky, and tall. I think this plant has been affected most by the power outage and missed feeding. It seems much more sensitive than the other 5 plants grown in my young career.
Also, my last diary I began a single Moby Dick seed. After 3 months of wondering why it hadn’t started to flower (not a male) it hit me that it may be a photoperiod (only have dealt with autos). I had to buy a new tent and light. After switching to 12/12 the plant is finally showing more pistils and more flowering. I say this because I’m using the new, more effective light (spider farmer) with the autos and the Growstar UFO with the Moby Dick photoperiod
We are into week 9 now and I’ve slowly started to add some supplements to the feed (growing in super soil, so JUST supplements). I hope this can inject the girls with a little help to get as much as possible from this ‘weak’ grow.
3/29
Checking back in with some more photos here today. Not much to say, both Swiss Cheese are close to harvest. OG still has a few weeks to finish. OG showed rust spots on leaves, figures as I added some base nutrients to the water (i thought it needed some) while using a super soil. Plucked some of the bad leaves and immediately replaced with plain PH water. Still some rust spots but all in all much less than last week.
Moby Dick, i think, is going to become a solid plant. Going on week 10 since planting and week 2 of flower. Might need to add nutrients during the last few weeks over flower in order to keep plant fed. When I planted the Moby I thought it was an autoflower not a photoperiod. Obviously with this discovery, the nutrients in the super soil wont feed the plant for the rest of its life.
Easy to grow, had problems week 5 with a power outage and lack of feeding, but overall still produced solid buds. One plant was way smaller than the other but the smaller plant seemed to have denser better bud structure. Hanging to totally dry now and then will cure once dried
