Livewire99 The seedlings seem to be growing well. They also seem to be stretching and I'm running out of room in the bag-domes. I decided to move them into the tent, all light bars pointed away from the plants.

Livewire99 I'm starting the Kush 'n' Cookies a week early to hopefully let it keep up with the Dancehall. I've read Dancehall is a fast growing Sativa and needs to be flipped very early to prevent it from getting out of hand. Dancehall will be one week behind K'n'C for the rest of this grow.
Livewire99 The seedlings have finally reached their Vegetative growth spurt. I have removed the garbage bag I was using as a light shield and exposed them to full 30% power in the Spring setting. I am still cautiously watering them to ensure I don't drown them or suffocate the roots.
Livewire99 The ladies grew to their 6th node and it was time to top. They both seemed to respond well to the topping, and they were healthy before the cut. However, Dancehall seemed to express an nutrient issue two days after the top. After some research I determined it was likely Potassium. I asked the Reddit Microgrowery what they thought. One person chimed in that it was a bad Potassium deficiency, likely amplified by being drastically underwatered. Since that comment I have drastically increased my watering and within 2 days it was clear they were correct and the deficiency is not showing on the new leaves.
Livewire99 Dancehall is recovering from an assumed Potassium deficiency. Kush n Cookies handled the deficiency better and never seemed to be affected. Both are growing well now.
Livewire99 This was a rather uneventful week. Dancehall is starting to recover, Kush n Cookies still isn't slowing down. I'm slowly increasing the lights 1% at a time trying not to burn the leaves again.
Livewire99 I finally got my automatic watering system set up. It's watering every 8 hours (3 times per day) 0.25 gal each plant. Kush'n'Cookies had not slowed it growth, and Dancehall has clearly recovered but will always be behind. I think it's almost time to setup the SCROG, KnC will likely end up taking 3/4 of it again. With the watering system set up, I have started adding Silica as well to strengthen the branches.
Livewire99 Both plants are really taking off. I have decided it is time to flip them and let them start flowering. I took my clones and halfway through this week the lights are going to 12/12. I am going to finish documenting this week as Veg, next week will be the first week of Flower for the diary. So far, so good. I have the netting up for the ScrOG set at 3'6" from the light so ideally the buds will be about 3' from the light when they get aligned with the ScrOG grid. Kush n Cookies didn't stretch much last grow, hopefully it doesn't this time either. Dancehall is a little smaller, so hopefully it has enough room to stretch as well.
Kush 'n' Cookies: 42 days Seedling, 39 days of Veg
Dancehall: 32 days Seedling, 39 days of Veg
Livewire99 First week of Flower! I flipped the light timer at this point so that the plants have room to stretch and fill the netting. Hopefully I'll end up with an even canopy all at trellis level, just colas sticking up. At the end of the week I did some defoliation. But I've been told that the canopy penetration with the FOHSE Aries is pretty incredible so the defoliation was more for airflow vs getting rid of useless vegetative growth.

Livewire99 This was a busy week for me outside of the tent, so I didn't take as many pictures as I usually do. With the auto-watering system set-up, I really only need to fill the reservoir bucket, or so I thought. It turns out the "intake filter" on the bucket side of the timer pump device is just a small air stone. Well, after a few weeks of sucking up nutrients, it was almost completely clogged and my plants were clearly not getting water near the end of the week. So I cut a slot in the tubing just before the air stone (to keep the stone as an anchor) and now we are back in business. The ScrOG is almost full and the buds are forming. All is well.
Livewire99 Things are getting less and less eventful in the best way. I'm down to just strategic fan leaf tucking and maybe the occasional cola trellis square adjustment. I just flipped the light to Summer Spectrum and I am continuing to slowly increase the intensity.
Livewire99 This was a very uneventful week. The plants are doing great, everything is happy. I did have to need with my game a bit, they are now maxed out and just keeping up. I probably need a new carbon filter to reduce the strain on the exhaust fan.
Livewire99 I'm not seeing any more runoff, so I increased my length of drip watering to 5 minutes instead of 4, still every 8 hours. Otherwise I'm still slowly increasing the lights and everything is going well.
Livewire99 Flower Week 6 is starting with leaves starting to yellow. I think this is when the leaves normally start to cannibalize lower leaves as nitrogen starts to run out. So I'm not concerned, just busy picking up/off shriveled up brown leaves that lost their nitrogen. I'm realizing I'm behind on my light intensity too. I think I should be around 900 PPFD, ~85% on the light, I'm only at 700 PPFD, 65%. I'll be ramping the lights up and I'm noticing there's no runoff again. So watering will be increased as well.
Livewire99 The buds are starting to bulk up here in week 7 of Flower. We're getting some red pistils so I'm optimistic this grow might wrap up at the end of week 9, maybe 10. I'm noticing something going on with the leaves. There's some blemishes from a calcium or magnesium issue earlier in the grow, but now I'm seeing colored spots forming on the Dancehall leaves. I'm hoping it's just the beginning of leaves changing color so I'm going to vary the PH a little more this week and see if the leaves continue to change or I have a nutrient issue.
I believe u need some calcium and more phosphorus. So up ur feed on bloom nutes like a tiny tiny bit and up ur calmag a tsp a gallon more. Ph ur water to 6.0. Also check the ph of ur soil. If the soil is a ph of 8 and you want it to be a 6.o u water in with a ph of 4.0 wait 2 hrs and check soil medium ph again.
Livewire99 It turns out that my PH pen sensor was off calibration by 0.3 PH, so I've likely been screwing up my PH range and therefore nutrient delivery for a bit now. I've corrected the calibration and the plants are starting to look happy again. The trichomes need some time still, but the buds are really bulking up now! The fans leaves are starting to show some colors too. That confirms the previous spots were definitely from a deficiency.
Livewire99 Kush'n'Cookies has nearly all cloudy trichomes and a few amber starting to show up, so next week/weekend will likely be the harvest window. Dancehall seems to be a little behind. It will likely take another week, but I'll keep checking it daily. Dancehall is not drinking as much as KnC, and the buds are not nearly as big. The breeders said Dancehall is more challenging to grow, I'll agree it's a more sensitive strain than the KnC.
@ledtime,
Also the A3I lights work incredible, i am hoping Aries lives upto those standards.
That being said Livewire99 seems happy with them. Woop woop
Hello Livewire,.
U r probably 1 of the only people on the planet to have a grow log with a FOHSE Aries LED,
I ordered 2 awhile back, should be here in the next 2 weeks, and i got the controller too.
How do u like these lights???
My friend has the A3I lights in his commercial grow . They are amazing.
I am hoping these are as well.
Thanks
@Hudson405, @ledtime The Aries is an A3i with 2 less light bars. If you've seen what the A3i can do, then you know what the Aries is capable of. I am really happy with my Kush'n'Cookies under the light. I screwed up with the Dancehall, but it was looking very happy until the PH got out of wack. The real tell will be in the harvest numbers and I might get this round tested for my own curiosity.
@ledtime, congratulations! I would recommend getting a PPFD meter so you can ensure you are getting proper light to the plants. I found a mid grade one for about $200. You can see it in my pics. I will say I had trouble getting the light levels down low enough for seedings and young veg plants. Heads up too, it's a heavy light and difficult to hang. Otherwise it's a great light and the controller is sweet!
@livewire99 I see you have a CO2 bag hanging. Did you ever do measurements to see if it actually does anything? I've been on the though train that the exhaust fan just sucks it up and out. Every grower I talk with tells me the air must be recirculated in order to supplement with CO2. So, I haven't bothered with it.
@ledtime, I haven't checked my levels. I added it hoping it would help somewhat when I got my Aries light and my plants started to look stressed. Once I added it the plants had less stress, but I'm not sure if that was the CO2 or something else changed. I don't know if it helps. I would think if you're exhausting from the top instead of the bottom, you could get some buildup. But your buddies are right, it's probably all wasted on an exhausted grow chamber.
@ledtime, I bought my light straight from FOHSE when they had their early bird special. I believe you can still buy direct from them, just click the Buy Now button and that'll put you in touch with their sales people.
