It took this one less than 24hrs to show her tap root. She's now safely tucked in her final pot. BioBizz light mix for soil, it's only a 3L pot so looking for a nice compact plant out of this.
I've been having issues with too much light for seedlings in this tent. Rather than turning the light down to lower power, I'm going to try and give this little one a bit of shade with the saucer on top of her humidity dome. Fingers crossed it'll work, her companion in the tent (my photo experiment), could do with all the light she can get, so half power would not be ideal. Let's see if I can keep them both happy 😀
So she's off.
I'm not exactly pleased with how this has started. I've been having issues with what I think is too much light for my seedlings.
As this tent is shared I couldn't really switch the light to half power, her older sibling would not be happy, she's only getting 30w of LED as is. Not enough for her, but to much for the little one.
I thought a way around this issue might be to use my sock 😂 to give her a bit of shade for her first few days. All this seems to have done is make the poor little thing stretch 😟. Despite this effort in lowering the light volume, her first set of leaves may still be coming through deformed. Bit early to tell for sure, this week will be the tell.
Regardless the sock has now gone, full steam ahead 😀
Regardless the sock has now gone, we'll see how she copes.
All things considered I'm happy how this one turned out. At one point I thought she might be a lost cause 😯, bounced back great.
I got two Octopuses off of her, plus a fair amount of smaller popcorn for a fantastic post harvest smoothie 😁
She'll hang for a day more, then into the fridge for a couple of weeks before jarring up.
I'll update more then
Checked in on this little one yesterday and her new growth looked really pale. Looks like I've started feeding late again. 😊
Fed her yesterday, and today she looks happier for it. She won't be getting anymore until she's dried out a little.
This one has not had a good week.
First I knocked her over with a cable in the tent. Leaving her lying down on the job.
Then I over watered her a bit 😬 As a result the poor little thing is looking a little hungry, as I've been having trouble getting any nutes into her while her pot drys out.
In an effort to remedy this I swapped her pot too the other side of the tent, near the intake fan, as being sheltered by her larger tent mate was not helping her to dry out.
To some extent this has worked, she's starting to pick herself back up, and was dry enough to risk getting a little water and nutes into her pot today.
Hopefully this will continue to improve over the course of the coming week.
28/2 : Just a day later and there's obvious improvement. She's pulled herself more upright, and the soil was dry enough today to squeeze a little more water in. It'll be nute burn next 😂
This little one looks so pretty in her two tone colour scheme. Shame it's all down to plant abuse 😬.
I've upped her feed, so hopefully she'll start growing nice and green ready for the flower tent. although when she'll get her chance in there is anyone's guess at the moment.
So I've managed to squeeze this poor little one into the big tent, she's stolen Buddha's seat.
Dobby the boss is not to impressed with how I've treated this one, only time will tell if she can recover.
She's looking really hungry, but not drinking enough to be watered often. I'm putting this down to spending so long under only 30w of LED. Hopefully the big girls light will cheer her up a bit, and get her drinking.
Having such a shaky start is no bad thing, space in the tent is at a premium at the moment, a small plant is all I can handle 😀.
Update 14/3 : 24hrs in the big tent and she'd dried out enough to water. So she got a good feeding, I swear she got paler over night 😀 I just remembered she's a Lemon Haze 😂, even so she's not supposed to look like this yellow 😂
This poor little thing, I feel so bad for it.
I decided to give up on it mid week, and she's spent 3 days and nights out in the garden 😮.
I was going to put her out of her misery today, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. When I looked at her she looked like she'd improved, so I've squeezed her back in the tent.
We'll see what happens, but don't be surprised if she quietly disappears over the coming weeks.
23/3 I wasn't expecting to update this diary, but either she's reading it, or the Spring sunshine has had a therapeutic effect. She's not going to amount to much, but there's hope.
This little abused one has really taken a turn this week.
She's spending 12 hrs in the tent and 12 in the yard, and she has really responded to the change.
She's not going to amount to much but Dobby says she's a keeper.
I've cleaned off all her lower damaged growth, and any fresh growth low down. Trying to keep her concentrating on her bud 😂
31/3: so four days later, and what a change. She's recovered just in time for her stretch I guess. Looks like I'll get to sample Lemon Haze after all 😀
I swear this is the same plant, no stunt doubles have been used.
What a difference a week makes. So glad I didn't cull her, Dobby was right.
She has shot up in height, and showing pre-flowers. More importantly for the first time she looks happy 😀
Makes me wonder what she's have done with out my screw ups
Well this one seems to finished with her growth spurt.
I've got some bends on her to train her a bit. She seems quite a lanky girl.
I've looked at the breeders description, and they claim she's a 9 week strain, with 7 weeks flower 😮. She's looking like she needs way more than 9 weeks 😂, but the good news is there's potential for another 6 weeks of bud growth. Fingers crossed.
14/4: I've just attacked her with bends clips. She's a bit on the leggy side this one, so I've bent down as much as possible. She now has more room in the tent to do her stuff. One of my other plants is moving on to pastures new 😁
Well she's still happy with me!
She's still got a long way to go though 😀
Her flowers are forming, all be it slowly. 😐 We'll see how she does this coming week.
20/4 Update: "this coming week" is going well 😁. Glad I didn't give up on this one 😀. HAPPY 420 😝
This girl is a slow one, she still looks a long way off to me.
She's been getting only 12hrs light, overnight, in the tent this week 😕. I don't know where Spring has gone, but it's for sure left this part of the world. She's been spending her days hiding from dark skies and rain 😟
This one's had a busy week.
She's not been happy, and I think she's maturing slowly.
So I decided to up pot her. Controversial in flower I know, but what the hell.
The aeropots come unclipped very easy. There was little to no stress to the roots, and now she has a good 2" of fresh soil all around her rootball. I'm not sure if she has time to make full use of it, but I swear she looks happier today 😁. Maybe it'll give her what she needs to fatten up in her last weeks.
No more 3L pots 😀
Well she's certainly reacted to her new home. Her buds have started to swell a bit, and she's needed a little thinning out for air flow.
There's no rush for her space in the tent at the moment, so I can give her more time to do her thing. She's not looking bad for what I thought might be a lost cause 😁
She's getting there, think I'll give her another week.
Bud's are still swelling, and she's still drinking well. She' starting to get pushed around by some of the younger girls in the tent, so she knows her time is nearly up. 😬
