Great week! I started these in a shot glass of water for 24-48 hours, then poured it out onto a paper towel on a small plate. I then folded the paper towel over the seeds before placing cling wrap lightly over the top (allowing air to leak) and putting the plate in my dresser for 24-48 hours. Once all seeds sprouted, I planted all 3 in my mixture and they are now living on an 18/6 light schedule about 6 inches below a 300w LED. It is roughly 70 degrees F and 70 percent RH in their tent, with a small Dan circulating air inside. They are watered manually at the beginning and end of each day. They were up through the dirt overnight! I’m excited to have 3 healthy plants and 1 with a cool tri-leaf mutation!
In week 2 I brought the light closer to the plants, and I slowly began to add 0.25tsp/gallon each of General Hydroponics trio of nutrients. I am moving out of my apartment in June, and I am growing my plants small for enjoyment and not large harvests. So, I am experimenting with 12/12 from seed tactics, but started the 12/12 cycle at the end of week 2! The plants got some good hours of light in before the switch, and now they will be straight into flower as soon as they are mature!
12/12 Lighting all week! The plants are really starting to look healthy and I have absolutely loved watching them grow up. I got the PH where I want it this week and the plants seem really happy as slowly add nutrients. The mutant tri-leaf is so interesting!
What an exciting week! The week began with breaking down my grow tent for an apartment inspection and hiding my plants in my dresser. Lol. Anyways, I cannot believe the growth... all three plants are looking wonderful and healthy now. All 3 pot sizes I’m using are quite small so I’m very impressed with the health and development so far. Flowering coming soon!!
What a time to be alive! Lol. Seriously though, this week was amazing. All 3 plants doubled their size and growth.. and as of yesterday all 3 are showing beautiful pistils! I am counting March 15 as the first official day of flower, plus or minus a few days. I installed a carbon filter setup this week and it’s helped a lot to keep the heat down during the light cycle! I am thrilled to have three healthy, thriving plants all successfully in the flowering stage. Also, the tri-leaf mutant is fascinating. After starting as a tri-leaf seedling, the extra leaf on each new set of leaves is more deformed than the last.. and it looks like it has almost reverted back to normal double leaf growth on the newest set of leaves... I’ll keep ya updated.
