Using Jack's magic potting soil and added some worn casting.
I am growing two critical xxl together, they might help each other! We will see will bend them as far away from each other and allow good amount of root space.
12h under hps and 8h under small ebay leds.
Tried to separate them but their roots were interlaced so I will leave them together, hoping they do not compete...
They are growing at a nice pace, they look happy in Jack's magic soil with added worm cast and a pinch of guano. Under leds 30w or so for 12h and hid for 12h.
So annoyed she must grow in a very restricted environment, so had to bend and tip over pot... Cannot wait for those days where I have plenty of space for my ladies in veg!
They are very similar in size, one is a little bigger, they are healthy so far and liking the worm casts i added to Jack's magic potting soil. Roots are growing like mad, so changed into bigger size container. Soon will top dress with some guano and more casts with a dash of Epsom salt( my water is low in magnesium)
Growing at a nice pace even if stressed and kept in a awkward position and even planting... Defoliated fan leaves blocking each others, not going to make them bushy, just two main and few sides the rest cuttings, I like those 2 look and how they grow, hope one will be a keeper, I can dream lol
Those 2 critical are loving the worm casts/compost and guano, they are healthy and growing at a good pace even if I tipped them over and they have been living under my bed in restricted condition to say the least hehehe, those Leds are a marvel for no heat is produced, no fear of burning anything, and plants in veg are happy under them. I will be flowering those under a led voost fixture, good price and specs seems solid, so leds for flowering here I come!
Started her flowering cycle, they are healthy and growing without problems, leaves shining a lot, I think it is worm casting they like. Transplanted into a 20l fabric pot with westland gardener's multi purpose compost, I heard only good from normal gardener's so let's try. Cheap and local with added seaweed. Took some clones in case.
Good transition to flowering, the supercropped one is catching up and just lst the main bud from the other one so all the buds have almost the same light intensity. Lovely critical signature smell when rubbed. Stretch so far is manageable.
Hello dear cannabis lovers,
Did nothing this week but watering with little Epsom salt added because water is soft around here.
She is beginning to puff up, and grow those buds, smelling flowery and sweet with some pine and earthy smell.
Very easy to grow and those 2 sisters looks and smell exactly the same, solid lineage!
Such pretty and easy plant to grow, just top dressed with handful of worm castings and less than half handful of bat guano few days ago and she just is exploding with white pistols all over and trichomes also, she smells like sweet lavender with skunk.
Very pleased with Zambeza Critical++, anyone could grow her!
I cropped one of my Critical the other was LST
I can see bigger buds on the cropped one, but it is not obvious so far which one is producing more weights.
Just changed Hps 400w to Voost 240w, plants responded well, some older fan leaves were started to cook and burn under hps, way too hot mid day, I can tell some leaves needed a break...
Let's see if LEDS helps with heat/light stress...
They are at 60cm from canopy, I will bring them down little by little during the next few days...
That is it, thank you for following fellow Cannabis lovers!
This week I have changed the 400w HPS lights for a 240w Leds, and I have seen great improvements for the rust burn that used to plague me for quite some times seems to have stopped and repair to the parts still viable started, now I know it was due to hight intensity and heat for 12h on those fan leaves that turned them dry and eventually burned them...
I still have to watch out because those Leds are powerful and loaded with Deep red, IR and UV!
They are at 45 cm the closest and 70cm the furthest no bleaching is seen so far, I am keeping a close eye on those leaves tip and if I see bleaching to those I higher up the lights for a while...
I feel like I am dancing around those marvelous plants, sometimes pulling the lights or dimming them, tucking those fan leaves shadowing lower growth whenever I feel they need a break or a hand! Trying to be a cannabis whisperer lol
Added 2 tablespoons of fish blood and bones to top layer with worm castings and bat guano a handful.
Lots of spiky hair on one and the other those are curly.
They look almost the same, lots of trichomes, at least 16% covered and smell kushy and flowery, very nice.
Let's hope the leaves do not get worse and the repair continues, not to forget to offer a prayer to Marie Jane so all goes well! ☺️🌹❤️
Hello fellow cannabis growers,
Very bad week for my two critical, they were attacked, yes literally lol by powdery mildew on both main cola but I was lucky enough to spot it at the beginning and just lost few little side buds...
Now I know why...
Last week I started adding a bit of fish blood in powder form on top of soil, I rake.... Right I think I am outside with my tomatoes lol
In the morning some fluff of fungi on top of soil... I rake again... Water with little peroxide.
Now I also over watered because I am not use to leds, and they really dry less the soil....
It has been raining bad for few days and it is very humid and warm...
Left for few hours without fan blowing stagnant air....
And BAM! POWDERY MILDEW
So a lot to learn and adjust under leds and with fish stuffs indoor!
Cleaned the grow room and left ozone on all day with fans never to be stopped!
Another problem coming with spring is SPIDER MITES
! They are back hitching a ride on me when I come from outside gardening...
Sprayed those who can with soapy cinnamon infused water, and removed all lower leaves, inspected all the leaves and killed anything moving 😁 removed leaves with few spiders on them and will do again in 4 to 5 days.
Again lucky to spot it early and obviously I cannot just jump from my garden to my indoor garden without precautions.... !🙄😁😜
So beware my friends those pests are breeding bad now it is spring!
