Super excited to start my second grow. I feel like I have learned a lot since day 1. I started with placing the seed in a class of RO water for 24 hours and then put it into moist paper towel, inside a ziploc bag and in a dark warm place. Seed cracked a day later with a nice size tap root. Transplanted into rockwool and placed into DWC res.
So far so good. Everything seems to be growing normally and at a decent rate. Will keep 1 more week of basic nutrients before I change res for the 1st time and increase feeding. Right now just doing Emerald Harvest feeding cutling/seedling recommendations.
Started adding first set of LST clips to spread out main branches.
I increased feeding schedule to early veg. as per Emerald Harvest feeding suggestions.
Things are starting off nice
Topped her at the 5th node this week. Really applied some training clips in order to stretch this one out really good.
Responding well to the increase in nutrients.
So far so good. Things are really starting to progress quickly. I am not defoliating that much as I am trying to tuck a lot of the fan leaves if possible.
Will increase the feeding next week I think
Still no sign of bud sites. But plant is growing super health and starting to stretch.
A super health plant. I reached out to Barney's Farms to find out about how long their autoflowers typically go before budding.
After hearing back from Barneys Farm, they cannot give me any advise on whether or not this plant should have started budding by now due to "legalities", and said they could not offer me any replacement beans because I live in Canada, although I bought them from a distributer in Canada. So I changed the feeding to early flower, defoliated very aggressive in lollipop fashion in hopes the stress will force the bud cycle to start.
Im not sure if it was switching the light hours to 12/12 or the defoliation of if was just a super late bloomer as this is my first time running any Barney Farms genetics. But no doubt about it, this lady is gonna be huge if she is just starting to bud now. According to the package she should ripen in 65-70 days.....
So far so good since changing light to 12/12. Added Honey Chrome and Emerald Goddess for the remainder of the run to see what it can do. This plant is going to be pretty tall. I am going to try to figure out how to hold up the buds sites as they bulk up.
Another solid week. The smells and stickyness has started to increase alot since I started with Emerald goddess and Honey Chrome. They are definitely going to be top heavy. I am thinking of a way to support them going forward
These things are really starting to smell and get thick. I wonder how big they will end up? Hindsight I cut to many lower colas off in my first attempt at lollipoping Im pretty sure lol smh.
I have to say, after a slow start and having to force the autoflower to flower, I am very pleased with the way things are stacking up. Only a couple weeks left and thats all she wrote.
This is most likely the last week as the trichrome are all cloudy, not much amber, will add flawless finish to plain RO water for 2 cycles during 48 hour of night I chop her down.
