Week 3
Sour dragons are doing really well! They have shown to be pretty tough I would say.
I went against one of the golden rules of autos, and transplanted them into their own larger pots.
I know it’s not ideal, but they needed more space and if I waited I risked the roots winding up in eachother.
They really didn’t seem to notice at all. I scooped all the soil around well when I took em out, so I don’t even think they realised the move,
other than the new and improved soil. They seem to have thrived mostly and not slowed up.
I also leave them out now instead of putting under the light nightly. They seem to enjoy being in the backyard!
The 2 better ones got the 2 bigger pots. Only one of the outside ones survived, and it’s going great!
I planted it in with the blueberry bush, and left it to do its thing. It’s definitely tough, which is what I wanted to see.
This is really trying different things to test these ones, and so far they are pretty good!
More to follow 🍻
@Shooey, ive been told that plants on the smaller side arent always a bad thing
As you know with my last grow mine were also a tad smaller.
They are easier to look after and spot signs of trouble and may in certain cases taste better. As with many things in nature.
They look great though
@Riveting, cheers mate! These have been a real surprise packet. It's about the best I've done with auto outdoor. I notice you do well with them in SA as does epokwan too. Looks like I will give these another try for sure 🙂
@Med_in_Tropic, cheers med. This is the best i have done with autos to date, although wolf got his to branch out a bit more than mine. He does top his autos, and it seems they may just do a bit better!!
@Riveting, hi mate. These are testers that a mate bred. I wanted to see how they went just thrown out with mo fussing over it. It shares the pot with a mulberry plant. Test has shown this has way under performed compared to the others in optimum conditions. So yeah, just for future learnings 👍🏽👍🏼
@Grey_Wolf, yes mate, all of a sudden too! The fatter one is now getting almost a magenta colour which I’m guessing might be from the ruby dragon. The smell is unbelievable mate, I’m lovin these dragons. Super quick too. I’ve got a few left for next year too 👍👍🍻
@Ned_Grows, thanks bro. Yeah I do get mites here and there. They are selective though, preffering some strains above others. The hose gets most of em but it did do some damage to the leaves. Might have to back the pressure off next time! Cheers mate
@Ner0z, thanks mate! It is a breeding project of another GD mate, who supplied the seeds. Its good to be able to test and try some different things with them. All the best with "the boys" matey😆
