@chrisg79, hey! I think 1l every 2 days is way better than 0.5l per day (depending on the pot size, I have a 8l pot and giving 1l of water at a time). The plant needs a dry period to be able to use the nutrients in the soil effectively. In the beginning I was watering every 2-3 days, depending on how the soil felt. Many people suggest watering whenever the top inch or so of the soil is completely dry - this is what I have been doing. If the plant is underwatered it is pretty easy to spot, the leaves are hanging and the plant just looks sad and tired. However giving it water will bring it back to life incredibly fast. Overwatering is a lot more common than underwatering!
