Wow looks like this seed went straight into flower....check it out.
Ive got quite a short plant thats begun to flower. I tried to get some pictures close up so you can see if my suspicions are right??
Might not stretch a whole lot more than this what do you guys think??
I've never grown Wedding Cake before but I always grow Barneys farm cause in my opinion their stuff is just such good quality and the auto's i've grown all last year came out incredible. Ill share some pics of them in another journal.
Cause this looks like its gonna flower immediately i've also popped some Barneys LSD auto and put in the same tent I might just update this grow with it what ye reckon? 😬
D'ya think this has went into flower already and has anyone anything I should look out for with this variety I haven't grown it before??
Thanks in advance peeps......
So heres where we're at with this one.
Some leaves starting to show discolouration maybe a deficiency of some kind???
What do you guys see/recommend
Also i had to take of a couple branches, not ideal at this stage but they had to go.
Amazing looking plant starting to come through now, the colours that i first thought were signs of deficiency i think may have been a nute lock. a week of pure water and good conditions and it has become a more purple look to the leaves. Anyway you can let me know what you think. The smell is super fruity its like mango's. reminds me of a mango Haze I once had waaaaaay back in Amsterdam one time. Cant wait to see how this progresses.
Starting to get close to the end now I think probably another couple weeks though yeah?
Probably see how it looks in another week or so and then decide on whether to begin flushing or what the craic is.
So looking like it's getting very close to harvest going by breeders advice and others i've sen with this variety. Mostly orange hairs nw only a few whites and they're starting to receed into the buds so i wanna flush well for a week or so and see how it go's
Hard to know how much longer I should leave this one. Its getting a little more volume each day and theres some small new growth to each bud. Heading towards 75 - 80 days though so im flushing until its time to chop.
This has been a crazy week i thought it was finished and then all of a sudden new growth of pistols and some swelling of buds and volume. The pistols still haven't receeded fully back into the flower so im wondering and waiting to see what happens.
From time to time i see this with Autos that they sprout new growth again and again so i dont want to miss the harvest window, What do you guys reckon??
Also just yesterday i got my LED 300W Lumatek Light and even 24 hours under it and its already made a difference. The whole grow room has responded differently. illl post pics of that shortly
Im so glad I took you guys advice because this thing seriously fattened up during this week. I have now put it in darkness to cut cause I cant phucking wait to try it.
However, new pistol growth happened its sprouting off more new hairs and I was beginning to think maybe another week or eve a few days wont hurt.
Id have to listen to you guys cause you've been great so far. Its so hard to have more patience at a time so close to harvest. See I don't wanna miss harvest window, but don't wanna cut to early for the sake fo a few days/week to make it incredible.
SO what do you guys think???
Oh Nearly forgot to say i got a LUMATEK 300W last week and started it straight away. It was awesome and teh grow room responded to it immediately. Pity i didnt have it from the start.
This was a cracking plant to grow. However it started off very slowly i think my ph could've been off from the start (water i have here is form a well and very rich in minerals and calcium etc.)
Anyways it still did Ok i terms of health size and flowers but i think i would like to try this again in different conditions.
The smell and look of the plant was incredible. It's one of them plants i felt i kept making up reasons to check and look at for ages cause the colours were unreal.
Had some friedns round to test thi sand its awesome. Some of the most delicious smooth an dinteresting stuff i've smoked and a lovely balance between stoned and high. A Must grow for me. Cant wait until its the weekend again to try this out.
Also in edibles its incredible.....must be the higher THC content in this one.
Nice one dude, good size, nice bulk, good trichome coverage and no stressing. The way it should be. Less effort.
Give it a week. Reassess then. You can pop off a bud or two so long, why not? I often do that. Quick dry it, sample it. While it's actively bulking and there are clearly new pistils/stigmas, let it be. You'll just get better/more weed that way.
@sir_isO, Thanks so much for the advice my man thats awesome.
I suppose I was comparing it to the "dos si dos" auto i grew from barnes before xmas I yielded 110g's dry off of 1 plant. ill fire a few pics up and you can see what ye reckon. Maybe it was just really suited to my grow conditions or something i dunno but it grew like all mighty phuck so it did.
phucking unreal bud too. Im gonna grow again.
@Seandawgemous,
Dude, other than heat, light (along with some extra carbs and phosphorus) you grew that thing at its limits. Like, really, they don't get much better than that. In terms of yield, I reckon you did great. Maybe the only thing I'd suggest is a bit of extra soil space (and obviously any additional light would help), but those are gonna be , relatively, marginal gains. like 25% because autos do have their limits. And I have this 80% rule, if you reach that, don't make big changes. And I reckon you reached that.
Considering your setup, your intervention/stressing (rather lack of), the speed, results, really well done. You're not gonna do much better. For autos, just keep doing what you're doing. It's like, I would only suggest minor sort of improvements, like optimizing nutrient uptake, micronutrient levels, heat. Small additions/changes. Maybe shit like citric acid for phosphorus mobilization or lactic acid bacteria. I mention the carbs/phosphorus stuff mainly with respect to cellular energy, internal heat, so to say...and apparently it can get kinda cold in Ireland.
@spyder, I like your style man hahaha I agree. Its looking great now man these pics were only taken last week and just got round to posting yesterday, Im gonna post more recents pics today.
@spyder, loving this one man its a coooool strain but just maybe beyond my capabilities right now to make a great yield from it. Hopefully it will make up for that in quality =)
@Rock_n_Roll_Randy, thanks man, it was awesome to look at and the smell was insane too. Im thinking the cold nights in ireland worked for the clolours here.
