My first grow :) I put the seeds in a glass of water for 24 hours in a warm area, all of them opened up with their taproots, I then moved them into root riot cubes in a propagator under my grow lights. This was my first grow and the propagator came with an "auto watering" piece of felt which wicked water up to the cubes from a reservoir while I was also spraying them / the inside of the propagator with water quite often. For my next grow i'll probably leave them in the glass of water a little longer (36 hours maybe) until the taproots are larger, and I won't water them as much once they have been planted in the cubes, as I think I overwatered them a bit which caused them to need a couple extra days to develop their basic leaves. Honestly I expected some of them not to germinate due to it being my first try, so I was quite surprised at 3/3 sprouting and probably don't have enough space for them all!! But we will see how it goes haha

Hey hey! So my first week of proper seedling growth felt like it lasted forever! I feel like I definitely overwatered them in the germination phase and for the first few days of being seedlings, dialled it back a bit by giving them an extra day to dry out and they seemed to react well and have a bit of a growth spurt. Note for next grow: When transplanting cubes plant them a bit deeper in the soil, as once you water them the soil compresses causing them to poke out a bit! Also noticed a slight bit of green algae on one of the cubes, just picked it off and covered with soil to hide from light. Measured the PH of my tap water and was surprised to see that it was measuring 8.5, whereas previously it was around 6.5 - 7. Checked online and supposedly I do have very soft water, so i'm guessing this was just an anomaly. Anyway, readings for this water were: Tap: 8.5 Mixed with some Calmag due to my soft water + PH down to balance it: 6.3 Runoff: 5.5 Was surprised by the runoff being so low, going to mix in a slightly higher PH for tomorrows watering (maybe around 6.8~) and see how the runoff turns out. Overall pretty pleased and finding growing SUPER satisfying! It's turning out to be an amazing hobby.

03/03/21 - Repotted to 5 gal fabric bags and gave them some water (Tap PH: 7.2 Mixed: 6.8 No run off due to repotting). Noticed the roots had begun wrapping a little at the bottom, but were all looking white and healthy, forgot to snap a pic. Probably could have repotted a day or two sooner, but no biggie. Two of them have LARGE first serrated leaves, and the third one is growing a little slower. Will start nutes in next watering, then onto trying some topping. 06/03/21 - Decided to hold off a couple days for the nutrients, I figured since I had just repotted the new soil will have nutrients to feed them for now, watered with calmag, 2 litres (Tap: 6.51 mixed: 6.5 Run off: None). 07/03/21 - Got a TDS meter and found out my tap water is only 25 PPM, and adding the Calmag was only increasing it to 60, adding nutrients brings it up to a good value though so i'll do that tomorrow or the next day depending on soil wetness and give them a huge water. The 5th node has appeared, so i'm going to top in the next day or two aswell.

Monday 8th March MORNING: Topped 2 of them to 4th node and one of them to 3rd node just so I can compare the growth.. and watered with 1L each plant + Nutes (PH/TDS tap: 7.05 / 30 mixed: 6.30 / 760 runoff: 6.5 / 800). NIGHT: Looking much better already. Thursday 11th March MORNING: Watered 1L each + Nutes (PH/TDS: tap: 8.22 / 30 mixeD: 6.48 / 750 runoff: 6.3 / 750) NIGHT: Looking good, Small signs of brown spots on leaves of largest plant, Will observe it. Friday 12th March Fine… little defoliation removing the first set of fan leaves which weren't seeing light anyway / LST.. Realized I had been giving them double nutes by accident.. but they didn't react too badly so didn't flush or anything. Saturday 13th March REPOTTED to 7 Gal pots Watered with 2L + 2ml of nutes + low calmag (PH/TDS: tap: 7.6 / 30 mixed: 6.3 / 300) Sunday 14th March Looking great! Healthy, did some LST. Tying down + supercropping as they seem to be reacting well to it. Just trying to test various things and see how the plants react to what I do. I probably don't need to be doing as much LST this early, as the bottom branches will probably be removed later anyway, but it's good to try stuff out since it's my first grow.

Unfortunately I broke one of the main stems on one of the plants, so I decided to top it again down to the 3rd Node and try more of a mainlining approach on that one.. kinda screwed up though as when I topped the 4 nodes to create my 8 colas I just did it on the 3rd node for both sides rather than stripping them and keeping the 1st + 3rd nodes intact, so they might get a bit cramped. Still looking strong though. Might be an issue keeping them all the same height now due to the different methods of topping + different growth rates! It's all about trying things out right now though on my first grow :) Also dialled back the nutrients a bit for one watering, as I noticed some signs of burning, seems to have worked pretty well.

Not much to report, have been watering every 3rd day with the usual nutrients. Some light defoliation now and again, and making sure to tuck the stems every day.. obviously i'm limited by space so won't by doing insane SCroG.. but just trying to keep a nice level canopy, it's nice to keep them all level while the others catch up in height. Could probably defoliate more heavily, but not many sites seem to be getting blocked by big leaves, so i'm letting them grow out the sides and catch some light. I think maybe 1-2 more weeks till I switch to flowering? Maybe i'm greedy, but seems like there's a lot of height left in the tent for them to grow into. 28/03/21 - Realized quite a few mistakes i've been making regarding training, so went for some more heavy handed defoliation / training. Especially with the one I randomly decided to mainline. Anyway I performed it on Friday night, and by Sunday they already bounced back stronger than ever.

Ok, so this week I realized I had kind of screwed up, these plants are beasts, my light is way too hot, and my tent is way too small! By the time they are finished flowering the buds are going to be hitting the light and my top buds might be fried. I decided to start winding down the hours of light by 1 hour per day ASAP, so Monday was 17 hours of light, and by Saturday I was fully in a 12-12 schedule ready for flowering in the new week. Also noticed that since a full canopy has formed and hardly any light is hitting the soil they aren't drying up as quickly.. I only had to water once this week with 3L per plant.. i'm going to return to 2L per plant next week. Also started with half flowering nutrients and some supercropping to try and keep the height in check...

First week of flowering, started to see some preflowers and the start of buds, feminized seeds so all females and no hermis. Did some supercropping /+ LST to try and create a more even canopy.

Performed a final defoliation along with the usual LST. Tried watering with only 1L to bring the watering down to every 2 days, but they started drooping a bit, so decided to stick with 2L every 3 days. Seems to work best. Not much else to report, growing steadily and buds starting to form.

Was going great, unfortunately I made a massive mistake and gave nutrients for coco instead of All-mix soil.. so roughly three times the required Grow nutrients!! After I did this I also left for the weekend, so didn't realize until 2 days later when some leaves were already badly damaged. It looks like growth slowed down due to my mistake.. but that'll teach me not to have two nutrient schedules printed out.. Water was along the lines of: 6.43 / 1945!! / 2.7!! so quite extreme. As soon as I found out I flushed them down until the runoff was 600~ TDS. Apart from that I love how geometric / similar all of the colas are, looks so cool..

Adding more Bloom, and also purchased some root stimulant since I badly burned them last week, hopefully it might help them recover better. Starting to look like "real" plants now.. love to see the work paying off and can't wait for harvest! Strong smell now, smells like diesel / really strong skunky smell, and some grapefruit / berry? Water: Tap: 8.1 / 50 / 0.0 With nutes: 6.4 / 970 / 1.3

Can I still be defoliating in week 5-6 of flowering? The buds seem quite leafy and a lot of the lower sites aren't getting light, I feel like if I removed some of the larger fan leaves on top it would let the full cola grow thick bud sites rather than just the tops?

Hi mate, The third week in flower is the last week you can safely defoliate. Running the risk of stressing her at a time she doesn't need it. Although, give her enough time to recover and she should be fine. If humidity is an issue, lower the RH to around 40-45%. I hope this helps, good luck and happy growing...

Hey nice work on the purple haze bro! I'm high as a kite on my own stash of purple haze I grew last round. I cloned it and am expecting another harvest of it soon. If you haven't grown it before your going to love it! The terps are super delicious! Especially after the buds have been fully cured of course! Check out my diary when ever you have time! Happy cultivating! ✌️🏻😎💨
