Aero_Sativo First week in vegetative. The temperatures are high since we're in the middle of summer here (Chile), but it will improve as the days go by. The Bruce Banner was born deformed; its leaves are wrinkled and don't follow a pattern. We'll see how that lady evolves as the days go by.

Aero_Sativo Second week in vegetative and the plants are already growing at a good pace. The Bruce Banner is growing deformed, its leaves are wrinkled, they don't follow a growth pattern and it doesn't look good. Although it lacks vigor, it's growing at the same rate as the other plants; we'll see what this lady can give us. All the plants received an apical cut at the third node. I did a watering with Deeper Underground with a dose of 0.5 ml per liter of water to stimulate root growth. As a preventive method against pests, I performed a generous foliar watering with Barrier at a dose of 1 ml per liter of water.

Aero_Sativo This week has been relentlessly hot. There are days when the temperature has reached 34°. In the past week, the plants received 2 foliar sprays with Top Veg and Barrier, which is why the leaves have spots (Top Veg stains them). They are slowly recovering from the apical pruning, and the structure is becoming more solid in all the girls in the garden.

Aero_Sativo Fourth week of the vegetative period. All plants received a second pruning, but this time on all branches, not just the apical ones. I also did a low pruning on all the plants. I pruned the plants 3 days ago, and today they already show a noticeable improvement and have started to grow normally again. Temperature continues to be a problem; we still have temperatures over 32° every day. I'm thinking of discarding the Bruce Banner due to its lack of vigor compared to the other plants. Combined with the deformities it has shown since the first days of life, it doesn't give me signs of good results. However, I will wait until the first days of flowering to see its behavior; it might surprise me, and I still don't know the sex of my crosses (Ins x Black Domina and Ins x Grandaddy). I also have to mention that I bought an EC meter and was able to confirm that the water in my region, although known to be bad, I could corroborate. The water I use for watering is tap water that has been sitting for at least 3 days and shows a base EC of 1.100. With the weekly fertilization I do, the EC rises to 2.300 (quite high for being in vegetative, but since it's once a week, there are no signs of over-fertilization). Finally, I rearranged the plants.

Aero_Sativo Fifth and final week of the vegetative period. The plants look very healthy and there are no pests of any kind. I did another low pruning 2 days ago, this time removing all small branches or those with little chance of producing big flowers. This last week, the plants have shown considerable growth, so I decided to switch to flowering to avoid issues with the final height of the plants. I remember that I have my crosses (Ins x Black Domina and Ins x Grandaddy) in case there are any problems with the other 4 plants (if a male or hermaphrodite pops up), so as long as I don’t have space issues, I’ll keep them in the tent. The temperature has dropped this week, reaching a maximum of 28°, let’s hope it stays that way. The Bruce Banner received the most cuts in the low pruning to shape its structure a bit. This lady is still the most lagging behind in the group and is the number 1 candidate to be replaced by one of my crosses. Only 4 plants will remain in the tent; the others will go outside.

Aero_Sativo First week of flowering The plants are stretching due to the change in photoperiod and have grown quite a bit. The one that has grown the most, to my surprise, is the Bruce Banner. In the first week of flowering, it reached the Sublimator from R-kiem, and that's the tallest plant. Yesterday I did another pruning of the lower branches, removing all the lagging arms and leaving only the main branches. The plants are averaging 35cm, and as soon as you enter the room, you can clearly smell the marijuana. The Inspector Leiva x Black Domina and Inspector Leiva x Grandaddy Purple have had more contained stretching, but that's understandable due to the Indica dominance in both varieties (I'm sure they are females). The temperature with the lights on is 24° and with the lights off is 17°. No deficiencies or over-fertilization are observed, nor pests or fungi. In this first week of flowering, the plants were fed only once with Top Bloom at a dose of 2.3 ml per liter of water. They have also received foliar sprays every day with Big One at a dose of 2ml per liter and Barrier at a dose of 1ml per liter. All the products mentioned are from TopCrop.

Aero_Sativo Second week of flowering 🌻 . The plants have continued to grow and the stretch from the photoperiod change is already slowing down, and the floral buds are becoming visible. . Unfortunately, the #Sublimator from Rkiem seeds is forming female flowers ♀️ and males ♂️ 🤦🤦🤦 what a shame. I've removed the male flowers, but I'm keeping a close eye in case they come back. If that's the case, the plant will get the chop 🔪 . The plants are averaging 48cm in height. . The Inspector Leiva x Black Domina and Inspector Leiva x Grandaddy Purple have not stopped growing and are now at the same height as the Amnesia and Jack Herer. . The Bruce Banner is now the largest plant in the batch (and it was the smallest). . No signs of pests 🕷️ or fungi 🍄 are observed. . In this second week of flowering, the plants were fed once with #TopBloom at a dose of 2.5 ml per liter of water. . They have also received foliar sprays every other day with #BigOne at a dose of 2ml per liter and #Barrier at a dose of 1ml per liter. . All the mentioned products are from @topcropchile. . Aero_Sativo Third week of flowering 🌻 The plants have stopped growing and are now at an average height of 60cm. This is the first grow I'm doing with Quantum Board Led lighting. I had read that with Quantum Boards, the plants don't grow as much when the photoperiod changes compared to other lights, and I've confirmed that. The plants really grew little, practically doubled in size, and for being sativa genetics, I expected them to triple in size. For example, the Amnesia (the smallest plant) is a 70% sativa variety that went into flowering at 23cm and ended up at 48cm. I would have liked the plants to be a bit taller, but oh well. A point to keep in mind for the next grow. Now to wait for the flowering to be lush. Some plants are showing a bit of yellowing in their leaves due to lack of nutrients, especially the Bruce Banner. So I raised the Top Bloom dose to 3.3ml per liter of water and eliminated foliar watering. During the week, R-kiem Seeds contacted me about the Sublimator, which released a considerable amount of male flowers when flowering started, telling me they would send me a package of 3 Sublimator seeds this week as compensation, but that I should please remove the post. I didn't think it was right for them to want to cover up those kinds of things that can happen, only showing the nice side of the bank. So far, 10 days have passed and they still haven't sent them to me due to the "Pandemic.

Aero_Sativo Fourth week of flowering 🌻 The plants are starting to fatten up the buds and you can already see what will be the future colas. During the week, I met with a representative from R-kiem and as compensation for what happened with the Sublimator that released a considerable amount of male flowers at the beginning of flowering, they gave me 3 seeds of their 2y2 variety and 3 seeds of their Gala CBD variety. Neither of the 2 varieties came in their original packaging; they were loose in a Ziploc bag labeled with the variety name written in marker. Personally, I don't think the seeds are not the originals; the R-kiem team is trustworthy. Now starting the 5th week of flowering, I'm almost sure that the Sublimator is starting to have a powdery mildew attack 😔

Aero_Sativo Fifth week of flowering 🌻 . The plants, even though I increased the nutrient doses, are still showing deficiencies, so I've been raising the nutrient doses until I see improvements in the appearance of the plants. (I've already exceeded the maximum ml recommended by the manufacturer) . Finally, my suspicions were correct. . The Sublimator had a powdery mildew attack 😖 I looked very closely at the other plants and none had the fungus, only the Sublimator 😑 . Facing the threat of watching the fungus grow more and more on the leaves and some stems day by day, and the possible spread of the fungus which was only a matter of days before another plant also showed it, I applied #PowderyMildew from #Anasac at a dose of 5g per liter of water (The label says 10g per liter) foliar. . It's the white powder you see on the leaves. . After 2 days of applying the product 😷 I checked and the fungus was completely eliminated 😺 . The problem is that the flowers that received the spraying have dried up their pistils and haven't recovered 😕 . This situation has me a bit worried since the flowers are stagnant and there are no signs of new pistils sprouting 😫 .

Aero_Sativo Sixth week of flowering 🌻 . The smell in the tent is already quite strong, and the plants are in good health. . This week I increased the fertilizer dose again, already surpassing what the manufacturer recommends, but still some plants show some deficiencies, but nothing serious. . The powdery mildew attack has been eliminated, confirmed after about 2 weeks with no signs of the fungus. . The flowers that had been affected by the product are now completely healthy and fattening up. . I find that everything is going well for now, and the flowers are fattening up. . There's still a month left to draw final conclusions, but it already looks promising.

Aero_Sativo Seventh week of flowering . This week the plants have continued to bulk up their flowers and are increasing resin production. . The smell inside the tent is a mix of citrus, incense, and fruits. . The Inspector Leiva x Grandaddy Purple is having an insane resin production! It will be the first to get the chop. . I'm increasing the nutrient doses like every week, but some plants are still showing deficiencies, especially the Bruce Banner #$#$%&. . I've never applied so much fertilizer in a grow as I have in this one. I don't know if it's the new lighting, the genetics, the environment, or all of them. . Currently, the nutrient doses I'm applying are: . Top Bloom: 6.5ml per liter (4ml per liter is the maximum recommended by the manufacturer) Top Candy: 3ml per liter (2ml per liter is the maximum recommended by the manufacturer) Big One: 3ml per liter (2ml per liter is the maximum recommended by the manufacturer) . pH: 6.4 . Aero_Sativo Eighth week of flowering . The long-awaited chop is getting closer! . The Inspector Leiva x Grandaddy Purple has its trichomes at 10% Amber. I'm just waiting for the substrate to dry so I can harvest it. . The bulk "Jack Herer" I'm growing doesn't smell anything like Jack Herer 😒 just like the Bruce Banner 😞. . I've been watering with just water for four days.

Aero_Sativo Last week of flowering and all the plants were ready for harvest. The yield was quite good, especially in my experimental cross of Inspector Leiva x Black Domina, which was by far the most productive plant. My other cross (Inspector Leiva x Grand Daddy Purple) also gave excellent results; it wasn't as productive but produced buds as hard as rocks and full of resin. The Sublimator is also a plant to rescue from this harvest. Big, resinous, and hard buds. Thank goodness I didn't cut it when it released bananas at the beginning of flowering.

Aero_Sativo Personal cross that I was testing which brought me pleasant surprises starting with its generous production, its rich smell and flavor. It doesn't produce as much resin as I would like, but it's very, very tasty.
