The pink plant is now bigger than the green one, she took 12 hours more to germinate but now she has 4 more leaves. Nevertheless, the green one is a bit taller and her two uppermost leaves are a little bigger at the expense of the lower leaves, which are smaller. Looks like they were two different strains, each one follows a different path to grow. Seems strange, because both have received the exact same cares. :)
This week, the green plant grew in a very strange way, she grew only the two big uppermost leaves, while the rest of the leaves are still small and stringy. I started the LST with her putting the 2 big leaves down to try to grow the other one. Although it is growing in a very strange way, the leaves look healthy, does someone have an idea of what is happening?
There is not much to say about pink plant, she looks perfect to me: lots of leaves and very symmetric.
You can notice a wonderful mint/citrus-like smell on both plants if you get very close. 😋
It looks like she has topped herself somehow does it look like her top shoot has come off if do let recover for a few days she should bounce back if not it seems like a mutant plant
The pink plant is growing fast and nicely, there is not much to say, she looks beautiful. And the green plant looks like is recovering, her newest leaves look normal. Since I am not very confident with myself about applying training techniques, I will try only with the mutant plant, she will still be useful, I still expect some yield from her.
I still have some seeds left, but I don't have time to grow them, since I'm in a students residence and when the semester finishes I fly back home. In the next semester I could maybe plant the Northern Lights Auto that I have, but I am not sure that I could leave her the 2-3 weeks of Christmas without supervision and only with automatic watering. But first, let see how this two plants grow, I am still happy that I still have 1,75 out of 2 plants, that is why I planted the pink as a backup. 😂
This week both growed a lot. The green plant is now fully recovered and going strong, The bad thing is that I am running out of space, I could maybe change their location to a bigger place. For one plant that closet is fine, but 2 is too much. I couldn't make a picture each day, because I was not at home, sorry...
Both have a wonderful citric smell that fills the whole room when I open the closet, it is still weak but it's very nice.
Both plants keep growing a lot, the pink one is about 85cm and the green one (the mutant :D), which has some light LST applied, is 60cm tall. The smell has not really increased since last week.
The pink plant is getting huge, while the other one is like a week behind (although she is like 85cm tall/33.5 inch), she started floration a bit later. Both plants have one or two weak branches at the bottom, where they get almost no light, I wonder if it would be better to cut those branches off.
Both plants keep growing consistently, seems like the pink one is still one week ahead of the green (aka Mutant One), but it is awesome the way that she recovered from the shock to her roots. This is definitely an awesome strain for newbies like me, very strong and easy to grow 😁
Both plants keep on flowering, you can notice a stronger smell coming from the pink plant, nothing that cannot be hidden by closing the door of the closet. I think they would appreciate to keep flowering another couple weeks.
I shouldn't have let her grow so much, 105cm is too big for this strain and this pot size. There are some branches that are very weak and I had to attach them to the stem of the plant so they don't break.
This was the last week that I would be watering them with nutrients. The plan is to flush them during the 11th week and to harvest the big one in the 12th week, I will wait at least one more week to harvest "Mutant One". The only changes that I noticed since last week are that the smell is slightly more noticeable, but only when the closet door is open, so nothing crazy. And that half of the pistils are brown, last week was about 30% to 40%.
This was the last week for the pink plant, I will be start harvesting her tomorrow or no later than this weekend. The upper buds are already mature, but not the lower ones, so I will do a staged harvest, leaving the lower buds a little more time.
Since this week I have been watering both plants with no nutrients to flush them. I think I am going to be a bit sad when I start to cut them 😟
Day 5/6: Very easy to grow, I could have started to harvest her a week before I think. This is only the upper 70% of one plant, I still have to harvest Mutant One and the rest of this one. I got 56gr of wet bud and 11gr of dry bud.
Day 11/6: I harvested the rest of the pink plant, I got about 30 gr of wet bud and 6gr of dry bud.
Day 12/6: Mutant One has already been harvested, I got about 42gr of wet bud and 10 gram of dt bud.
During this week I let the rest of the pink plant and "Mutant One" grow a bit more. I was really useful, because the rest of the buds are now ready to harvest. I already harvested the full pink plant, and tomorrow I will do the same with "Mutant One".
Congratulations on getting to harvest! You will do better with each grow. This is my fifth year, and I feel like I only recently learned how to properly finish and harvest for maximum oil production and best flavor. It’s a great hobby because growing skill has no ceiling. Keep growing!
That asymmetrical plant is most likely a mutant. Shock to its roots might cause something like that, but it seems less likely.
That being said, it might still grow larger, and still eventually yield. You also might end up culling it to make room for the one, depending on crowding. It's a bit too early to say, IMO.
I think if it wasn't your first time, for sure you could just pull it and then fill the tent with the one, but when I was first starting out I always wanted backups. Which brings the third option: if you have seeds left, you could always pop another instead of going with only the one plant.
Can't really call it for you here, but hopefully this will help you make your decisions =)
Germination hype! Looking good so far, if a bit stringy. Any plans for stronger lights? They'll appreciate it.
First grows are exciting, but a bit scary; let us know if you have any questions =) Liked and followed!
@Mr_Johnson, Any time, chummer.

if you havent found GWE yet its a huge resource, there's a big directory full of good guides and tutorials.
@Jaindoh, Vertical room shouldn't be a problem with this strain, I have about 1.3m, but I could modify it up to 1.8m.
I was reading about the low stress training, It could be a way to make that the plants grow avoiding the wall, I am a little scared of breaking the plant, but it may be worth a try.
Again, thank you for your help!
@Mr_Johnson, Wow I didn't realize your grow area was quite so small. It wouldn't be neccessary, then -- however, I would guess that you could probably do that safely, depending on vertical room. More light is never bad.
You should be quite happy with the results, either way. I suggest looking into training methods now, given your space limitations.
