After germ we planted in root riot, our canna soil didn't arrive so filled small pot with home potting sub to let the roots feed (damn the roots grow fast!).
Will move to shed room in a week once the soil arrives and we transplant into their 'forever' pots. Currently in the loft nursery area under the MARSHYDRO TS1000 LED's set to 75% output.
In the shed we've got the LUmii 400w Sunblaster Dual spec. in a 2.8 m3 grow space. The room is part insulated but we keep a heater set to 20c. Extractor fan (300m3/h & 150m3/h - colder pre pong season) on fairly low speed until it gets not or smelly.
Air is extracted into our greenhouse were we keep cacti. So they love the extra warmth.
In the room we've also got a humidifier * later swap to dehumidifier* and last seasons carbon filter + 150m3/h fan to be a scrubber & air mover in the environment. Due to it still being rather cold out it's best to keep the plants in the house to save on the extra work of the heater.
We also have 1 x 6" fan although we don't use that until we see higher temps as the 150m3/h fan circulates air in the room plenty well.
Moved the plants to the large posts in the shed grow. Needed the space to free up for MrsMc3Rings food hydro grow.
Now under the HPS 400w with 60% RH, 23-25c day and 16-18 night.
Have had a Canna feed so next up water only then another feed later in the week. I'm aware larger pots are a bit wasteful at this stage but I really needed to get them settled now so one move is best. Just a case of managing the sub. Spiral water and interim flushes seem work best when root mass still have a way to go in a large pot.
Happy growing.
Was thinking to fill 19L fabric pots to about 3/4 (roughly 15L)
Last grow were in 11L solids. the wider pot brings the plant close to the floor as height is limited in grow room.
Question: considering these are AUTOS.. is there any point in using larger pots?
11 L are fine for autos 15 L are better. If you go with the 11 L drill holes in the sides to air prune the roots. That will help out the plants with the smaller pots.๐
@OrganicNature420, Thanks for the feedback!
I grow 80% for edibles (tinctures, oils butters etc) since I stopped smoking altogether. Still keep the Mighty by my side.
Have had several successful seasons with BF's LSD.
One year I neglected them and they still delivered!!
Later this year I'll need to grow a few CBD heavy strains but I'll see what this first 2021 harvest delivers
Keep well :)
@ZoobZoob_farmZ, Cheers. LSD are a very hardy strain and always deliver. Early, just right or late.. there's usually more than enough THC in this strain to do the job. Get it just right aaaaand sleep.
Keep well.
Sub arrived so have split the 50L bag into 3 softies. Potted into larger pots earlier than I would normally just want to get settled and in the grow room asap. Wife needs the seedling room for her hydro non-weed grow.
Grow room running a 400w dual spectrum HPS at 3' away from plants. Heat in day at 23-25, night 18-22. Humidity 60-70.
Exhaust is set on the 150m3/h fan until the warmer weather comes. Then will swap over to the 300m3/h ex fan and use the 150m3/h in the room. Have small 6" fan on low power moving the air around for now.
The only problem with the smaller plant in the larger pot is water management. I've dealt with this before by spiraling out. All's well. All's happy.
