Grower of the Month January 2023

This competition is next level toxic.. 🤣🤣🤣. All the foks who genuinely answer questions my hat comes off to you..(I don't wear a hat but we're gonna pretend for the sake of my statement).. To come back here each month knowing the asshats that come out the woodwork to stoop to such low levels of cheating and name calling for a few seeds with no real money value... It's fucking amazing 🍿🍿🍿🍿. And to the toxic cheating noobs.. if you just were nice you would get free seeds anyway.. fuck if some one asked nice enough I would give them free seeds.. Just put all that energy into growing some great plants.. smoke a joint chill out .. Peace..🤘🏼💚🌿

You know what I love about answering grower's questions? It keeps my brain and my own grows sharper/better than they would otherwise be... and I learn a lot... it reinforces my own knowledge and I truly appreciate that. For example, I often get confused between the signs of a potassium or a phosphorus deficiency - I know the photo that may be presented by a grower is one or the other but frequently have to go look one of them up to remember which is which... SOME day, that will stick... And there are a lot of questions about which I have zero knowledge - like specific lighting issues for example - and so just reading the responses educates me and often makes me go do some more research on the topic. VDP, DLI, PPFD, etc - all those technical issues are things I can't even experience for myself because I don't have the equipment - so reading those questions and answers informs me, teaches me things that I will hopefully recall when and if I have the means of getting that equipment... So, troll-free, I find this activity a great "textbook" for me.... and I want to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their questions and their answers 😊

In the wonderful calm that has descended (to the great relief, I'm sure, of a number of us), I just want to say that from anything and everything can actually come some real good... And the real good, for ME, to have come out of this was to have found the level of caring and support that this community CAN exhibit, CAN give... So many of you were attacked in the rampage - but we all banded together to support each other as the psychosis reached its crescendo. And it can't have been a great experience for anyone just watching the mayhem as one poor grower tried to say inside her question... I wish that @GrowDiaries would institute some simple things that would prevent this type of experience... 1. Keep some sort of record - even if it's on a piece of (gasp) paper (i.e., nothing hackable) - of IP addresses that will never be allowed onto the site. 2. Institute a harrassment policy - one verified complaint = warning; two verified complaints, ouster. It's not enough to issue 7-hour or 7 day bans because there are still areas (contests) where the behavior can continue. 3. When someone is bounced out, erase ALL of what that person has done including everything on contest sites - not just comments. 4. Make folks signing up for an account here read the rules and acknowledge them - and the rules should include the consequences of not following them. It ought to be simple enough surely. And it would improve this site 1000% and make it worthwhile for sponsors to come back (how many have been lost!) But to my buddies, @m0use, @Hashy, @Ezzjaybruh, @Chow_13, @Sciolistic_Steve, @CRiSPeRGrow, @WhiteWizard, @Ernesttwwgg who were either the target of the insanity or loyal buddies rallying to complain and report the behavior, I just want to say thanks.... let's hope we don't have to go through this again any time soon! (OK, @m0use... now it's time once again for your *fart) (And where was @GanjaReaper?? I thought he LIKED a bit of drama! LOL!)

I'm not competing in the competition so I'll systematically remove any score I get from the board. Good luck to all competing. Fart.

So it’s interesting I assume this is 3 packs of 5 seeds but the way they wrote it in there would think it’s 5 packs of 3 seeds. All the other prizes show the quantity next to it (x1, x2, x3) then it says 3 seed packs - x5 so I would assume that’s the quantity 5 of the 3 seed packs.

Have to share this with you guys... this was an answer given by a grower who shall remain nameless: "Looks to me maybe a pest issue. Tough to tell without seeing the actual plant . Could be a nutrient issue also. Tough to diagnose without being able to touch the plant and soil. The soil looks kind of dry" Kind of wanted to let him know he'll never be able to see or touch the actual plant on the questions page.... he just might want to give the whole notion of answering questions a miss... Dear me!

Well this is weird... we've all got the medals but the winners haven't been announced? And over at POTM, the winners HAVE been announced but it says they're still "deciding" ... this poor site is so screwed up...
