It's time to sum up the results of the photo contest! For the IZI team, this was the first experience of such an event on the Growdiaries platform, and we are happy with the results and such active users. Thank you all for participating!
Let's start with the most exciting part - the Audience Choice Award. Over the past week, you have been voting in the comments, and according to our calculations, the prize goes to the photo of DogDoctorOfficial (Seeds Mafia - Auto Big Cheese). Congratulations! The winner receives IZI seeds worth 50 euros (choice from stock) + branded merch.

@IZISEEDBANK, damned if you do, damned if you don't context.. do what you think is best as far as the intended spirit of your contest.
adding lighting and effects is one thing, but the moment they start adding colors to the plant seems a bit over-produced. Plus, no way to be absolutely sure someone used AI unless it's egregious. Even the brahma pic is admittedly a maybe, albeit high percentage maybe. I think there's at least one other AI generated or enhanced (beyond lighting effects and such), but it didn't place. The plant and the background look nothing like any other plant in their tent in that diary or any other dairy -- but still can't be 100% certain.
tough situation. all anyone can ask for is consistency in how you make the decisions. Opinions will vary. Consistency = integrity, however you choose to handle it. It's your contest. If it's a consistent application, nobody can complain about fairness at the least as it is an even playing field.
In the end it is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things. In the moment it can seem like a big deal.

Interesting, the new update has seemed to add a bunch of flawed metrics to users profiles. like how many harvests they have done and "favourite" brands for things.
They are all off and not reflective of true favourites just based on what you grew. Not really a individuals user opinion.
This resent update also seemed to kill any of the "approved by" status on older diaries by various breeders, plus I've noticed any comments made on my profile have been screened and many of them are now gone, but how they picked what ones to keep and what ones not to keep are beyond me.
I'm sure their is more issues just not identified yet, still curious what it solved though... gotta stop adding lipstick to this shiny turd.

@IZISEEDBANK, aw yes. the limitations of it all. If you have Instagram I'd suggest that one and hosting polls and doing it that way. but comments also work. insta does all the totals but allows other not in this contest to vote.
I'll have to review it all and let you know my pics.
Hopefully their are no dule winners. contest winners and audience vote winners.
