<span class="link_user">@Fatnastyz</span>, Dude the competition was rigged last year and everyone knows it.. I agree nobody should be mad at colleague growers but that's it. I can definitely understand the frustration..
<span class="link_user">@DutchFarmer</span>, I agree with your sentiment. To be fair, it does seem like they are trying to implement some more quantitative changes this year. I think the real test will be in how the scorecards are applied. For example, the mold conditions for a subset of the winners last year, was quickly called out by nearly all expert-level user-cultivators in the contest. If I were a judge this year, I'd be on my toes to not get called out on grow technique/basics knowledge or scoring values lol

after i add my two cents of advice i almost always tell whomever i am in communication with to seek advice elsewhere from someone with more knowledge than myself.
and as for plants, those seeds were from some fly by night seed company so the genetics sucked. they were grown in a stairwell closet where temp and humidity are impossible to regulate and grown under a homemade light system. the tallest of the two came in at 120 cm and a final weight of over 8 ounces. sorry they were not up to your standards. later dude
