PhytoMAX-4 8S

PhytoMAX-4 8S is a 500-watt LED grow light from Black Dog LED designed for medium-size canopies. The 8S outputs about 1,062 μmol/s (PBAR/PPF) and uses the brand’s Phyto-Genesis Spectrum with eight LED colors, including UVA (<400 nm) and far red (700–750 nm). The fixture is actively cooled, dimmable via 0–10 V from 15–100%, and carries certifications (UL 1598, UL 8800, ETL, CE, FCC, RoHS). Physical specs are 15 x 15 x 4.5 in and 26 lb (11.8 kg) with 224 LEDs. Black Dog provides a PBFD/DLI calculator instead of fixed footprints; reputable dealers suggest a flowering coverage of roughly 3.5 x 3.5 to 4 x 4 ft depending on intensity and mounting height. Typical warranty is 5 years with an expected LED life over 70,000 hours.
