Osram’s NAV-T 250 W SUPER 4Y is a high‑pressure sodium (HPS) lamp widely used in horticulture and general lighting. The E40-based tubular bulb is rated 250 W (approx. 267 W construction wattage) and outputs about 33,200 lumens at a warm 2000 K with CRI ≤25. It operates on conventional or electronic gear with an external ignitor, is dimmable, and can burn in any position. The arc tube design emphasizes red/yellow wavelengths suited to flowering crops. Typical effective coverage is around 60×60 cm with a suitable reflector. The lamp measures 257×47 mm and weighs roughly 135 g. Service life is specified up to four years at ~11 h/day, with B50 median lifetime of 36,000 hours and very good lumen maintenance.
