So it really depends on what grow medium you are using to grow in. If you use soil, dont feed until its been 2-4 weeks from your last transplant and the plants are looking a little hungry. The reason for this is the soil has nutrients in it and transplanting gives fresh nutes. Once you've gone 2-4 weeks since your last transplant the soil nutes will usually be used up. Once you start feeding nutes people tend to feed every other watering but it really depends on what your plants want. My buddy that grows in soil has done feed, water, repeat some grows and feed, water, water, repeat on other grows that didnt want as much food. You should also only water once the pots feel light. Lift the pots every day and once the weight is significantly lighter then its watering time. Dont water on a set schedule in soil as thats a sure fire way to over/under water. Also make sure you water with a ph around 6.5-6.8.
If you grow in coco coir or rockwool, they are hydroponic medias. This means you want to keep them wet. I personally grow in coco and you want to feed nutes every watering after they sprout as coco/rockwool have no nutrition in them. I personally water 1-3 times a day depending on what my plants want, but as long as the media stays moist you should be good to water a little less if frequent watering is too much work. You also want to make sure to suplement with a calmag in hydro. With hydro media its a lot harder to over water and if the media does dry out it can cause problems with dry pockets in the media that can damage roots.
