almost 3 weeks into flower and my hottest days are at 85F. nights usually 71. I'm using 2 lights and don't want togo to 1, which would help a couple degrees. Curious if 85 is bad for flower and trichomes or what I could try to bring it down..?

Hey Growmie, In general, you should strive to keep temps under 80°F (26°C) throughout the flowering stage, and especially towards the crucial second half when buds are in the midst of development. The temperature in the flowering stage is too important to ignore. That’s because keeping temps low during the flowering stage will help your plants produce the most potent, dense, smelly, and trichome-covered buds as possible. Unfortunately, higher temperatures during the flowering stage can cause plant problems and slowed bud growth. It can also cause terpenes and potency to evaporate into the air. What that means is if your buds stay too hot during the flowering stage, the higher temperature may accidentally be burning away some of your terpenes and cannabinoids (reducing the final taste/smell/potency of your buds after harvest). Hopefully, this was helpful and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".

You can run your lights at night, when the temps are cooler.. this helps some and what I am forced to do due to the high temps here. Also you can supplement co2 in the tent. It helps the plant cope with the higher temps.. Infact when using co2 if your temps aren't around 85 then it's just a waste.. You can also get some seaweed extract and make a foliar spray to hit your girls with, it will help them deal with high heat as well.. Hope this helps.. 👊

Sometimes controlling heat can be impossible without an AC unit. 85 is quite high for bloom and if you don't have access to one, up the circulation👍. Having air gently cascade over the canopy will keep leaf surfaces cooler then the ambient temp of the rest of the tent. A fan blowing over your driver will also help and if you're not doing 24/7 extraction, this may also be of use and cut the temp a couple degrees (hopefully). Essentially, if we have trouble with high RH or temp and aren't able to drop it, circulation is the key and needs to be increased. My two cents! Much luck.
