Seedling in Trouble

Alien_Beelzebud

I have a seedling that is alive but has not popped its cotelydon leaves open yet. It almost looks like part of the seed might be stuck and holding it back. As it stands now, I'm thinking I should just leave it alone and give it a chance to finish the job. Recommendations?

Use your fingernail or tweezers to remove it. It will come off with little resistance. Just make sure you don't tear the roots by doing it, she's very fragile right now, can't be yanking her outta the ground.

If it only just broke through the soil, you can give it a day to see if it sorts itself out. Otherwise you can provide a helping hand by very gently removing the seed casing. Hope that answers your question. Happy growing!

that is a quite common issue, the seed shell remaining stuck. You need to VERY CAREFULLY remove it without damaging the baby leaves.
