Leaves Yellowing, etc.

Look at my bottom leaves; they're turning yellowish-green. No nutrients yet, no fertilizer. Not light burn and not nutrient burn (I'm learning, y'all). I think it was cuz they couldn't breathe & it was time to transplant. Check my pics. Agree or no? I transplanted today;)

yur young plant has used up what ever it could from the yellowing leaves. this is a natural step in the plants life. i would how ever start nutrients and add cal/mag. your plant needs the food to survive. so start feeding so your plant gets everything it needs. light ,air, and food, you know the feeling of being alive, well this young plant is just that, alive and later down the road, the hard work you do now, then you will have a good harvest, so to get there, start the feed

They have gone yellow because they have used up all the nutrients that were available in that small cup. Next time either transplant sooner or use larger containers to start your seedlings in. This will also provide for much more growth earlier. As you can see, the roots are well and truly filling that little cup, which slows growth considerably. I am sure they will now power away in their new homes with so much extra room for root growth. A quick tip, although too late for Nancy Lou, next time fill your pots right up to the top, this will allow much more room for root growth and consequently, plant growth, without using any extra space in your grow area. Also, the substrate in the pot will compress down after a while, further limiting root growth as compared to a full pot. Good luck and happy growing! Hope this helps,... Organoman.

Yep it was definitely getting rootbound in that small pot! Transplanting was the right call! Consider transplanting sooner to avoid this stunted growth and damage in the future. Now that she was transplanted give her a good pH balanced watering with runoff and start fertilizing next irrigation with fertilizing at 1/5-1/4 strength dosages. Good luck and happy growing :)
