Broken Branch

My 5 week old was getting a little too tall for the space she is in, so I went to see if I could lightly tie down the outer branches. I barely touched it. It didn't totally come off, but mostly. I wrapped it with surgical tape and supported it with a stick. Can she be saved?

I snapped a branch and there was only the tiniest thread holding it to the plant. I had nothing to loose so I taped it in place. The next day all the leaves on the broken stem were drying so I thought the branch was dead. But... the next day I noticed new leaves sprouting out from the branch. A day later I trimmed off the now very brown and crispy original leaves and there were a bunch of new leaves growing and looking good. So, don't give up and give Mother Nature a few days to work her magic before you write that branch off as dead.

I accidentally snapped a stem the other day but it was too severe to recover so the leaves and branches withered and died pretty much within 24 hours. I thought I'd lost the plant but the nodes under the snap grew out and took over very quickly - this might even be the better option if you're growing an auto as it can take weeks for a broken stem to repair fully and by that time you've lost a lot of veg growth.

Sure! Just make sure no dirt come inside. Just use any Tape and a Stick for the Support. In few Days it should be fixed. Good Luck!

The second it happened, I woke up my wife and made her get out of bed and fetch me supplies. I love my wife so much! Let's hope this plant is as forgiving as she is.

Can she be saved? YES ! I broke my main cola on my plant, during flowering. (And a secret : 2 times, not just once ^^) Well, she still ended in the Diary of the Month ;) If you make sure the broken part is back in place, if you act quick.... You have good chance of success. I'll cross my finger for you brother!

Often branches can be saved with tape and support, there's also some plant glues out there. Next time i would try doing a supercrop of the long branches when they get too stiff and woody, less chance of a big break. If you're still in the veg period i wouldn't worry too much and just let her grow through it. And hopefully the branch will heal up for you, it'll be obvious fairly quick if she won't, within a few days you'll see if the leaves are limp and dying off.
