Hi.. being growing autos in soil last 10years and now switching to photos in coco. I've started out in soil in a small pot, is this ok? Do i have to brush dirt off before transferring into bigger pots? Thanks everyone happy growing 👍🏻🍁🌱❤️

Every other should be fine. That also depends on if you are giving it at full strength or not. I noticed with coco its very easy to spot a cal mag deficiency because its happens quickly but can also be corrected easily. Meaning its easy to spot when you need it. Aim for every other feed at half strength and if they are yellowing or getting a lime green color then up it to full strength every other feed. Another thing ill add is do not ever run plain water through your coco. You will strip it of all its nutrients or most anyways, just always add a little of something is what im getting at. Not sure if this helps or is more confusing 🤪🤣

Hi fella, as all before very good advice and that's why I like this party platform!!! One thing I do know or believe and I think research will back this up, plants no matter the species can not tell the difference between a synthetic or organic ion and we'll take which ever is available, now if said soil had a living environment and Coco is inert I would personally believe a bit of a microbial boost in the substrate would help the proceedings but hey that's just me!! All the best, happy growing 👍

If you're going from soil to coco yeah would be better to -rinse- off the dirt brushing the roots would damage them i guess. I just had to transfer a plant growing in coco into a DWC bucket, was hard work cleaning the roots without breaking them

With ro water and coco you 100% want to add something all the time. Just fluctuate the amounts. And you are correct on the Ph.

Rusticbuds that's great info. Certainly didnt know that. I will do half strength every over day. If they need a water every day shall i just add a tiny bit of each veg nutrients just so it isnt plain? Using ro water so have to adjust ppm every day so its holding something. Ph 5.8 or 5.6?

You still need a ph pen, And still need to ph it. The PH perfect system from advanced nutrients HOLDS the Ph, it does not adjust it.

You should use a coco nutrient.Coco likes to hold onto the nutrients. The best on the market is Advanced Nutrients Coc,it comes in PH Perfect so no more messing around with your pen.Lots of people just add calcium but it need more iron aswell. We should all use Organic Nutrients though and Iguana Juice is the best you can get.Stay away from GHE.

What Doctor green thumb said. But do not forget to add cal-mag! Coco media does not hold calcium like soil does.

Transplanting cannabis plants is very common for those growers who choose to grow photoperiod plants while the seeds of autoflower cannabis plants are typically planted directly into their final container to prevent transplant shock. But can your marijuana plant be transplanted from soil to coco coir? Yes you can transplant cannabis plants from soil to coco coir. Changing growing mediums mid-grow is risky, but possible. Here are the steps that I take to transplant from soil to coco coir: First I let the plant's soil dry out Next, I loosens up the soil in the grow pot by pushing the sides of the grow pot I then flips the grow pot upside down and slide the plant out After that I gently shake the plant by the roots in order to loosen up the soil I then fill the new grow pot/bag with coco coir and then place the plant in the new grow pot/bag The last step is to fill the remainder of the grow pot/bag with coco coir and give her water or a light feeding.
