Veg start date?

Does anyone know how we are supposed to record the seedling phase? Do you enter it under Veg in growdiaries? When do you consider them in Veg - I've seen videos where they keep them as "seedlings" for up to 3 or 4 weeks, then start Week 1 Veg. Thanks for the help!

I record my diary entries as ‘week ending such and such’. I germinate in peat pellets. So from the day they break ground for the ensuing week, I class that as germination week. Of course, a 4 seed run of plants won’t all germinate on the same day but allowing a week should cover any stragglers.

Yeah pretty much same here once the first leaf starts show up I call it veg. If you see green through the medium with a small stalk is a viable plant in my opinion.

For me I call it when the first serrated leaves start to appear, typically like a day to two after opening up. Technically it's still a seedling for a bit I guess but it's growth is still veg growth. I've seen journals that kick right into more mature plants but they're typically clones that have established a bit, revegings, etc. At the end of the day it's your journal, utilize it however it suits you best.
