Low yield on auto flowers

Dankbudz84
Dankbudz84started grow question 3 years ago
I know I impacted my yield due to stunting the autos but it did look like a lot of bud even after drying. But my buds are not dense and only got 37 grams from one purple kush. What can I do to get more dense buds. I still have 5 other plants in flower. I got white ash.

Bigger light, bigger buds. It is that simple. If you want yield, forget autos, photoperiod plants are the ONLY way to go. Plus they have 40 odd years of development behind them, almost guaranteeing better results, plus YOU get to control when they flower. Giving humic/fulvic/amino acids, or all three will boost your buds, as will adding a mycorrhizae to your soil mix before you plant. Mykos made by Xtreme Gardening is AWESOME and while a bit pricy, it is worth every cent. Besides, you don't need to add much, so one packet goes a long way. eBay have it if you have trouble finding it. In future, with this light, I would suggest growing only one photoperiod plant and using a 20-40 litre pot. Combined with some LST or SCROG, you will get much, much more than from any silly autoflowering plant. Try Sweet Seeds, all their strains are superb, Sweet Zenzation is fast flowering and a knockout with dense, resin dripping buds, as are most of their strains, you really can't go wrong with anything with the Sweet Seeds label. I have been growing for 35+ years and have tried many seedbanks and these days, Sweet Seeds are my "go to" breeder. I have tried nearly every strain they have and am yet to come across a dud. They must be the most under rated breeder out there, yet all their strains are super simple to grow, potent and if grown right, huge! Hope this helps,............... I forgot to add, you can save a lot of electricity by growing photoperiod plants too. Autos = 12-16 weeks at 18 hours a day of lights on time. Photos = 6 weeks at 18 hours plus 8 weeks at 12 hours of lights on time. Do the sums, you will be surprised by the amount of savings to be had!! Also, check out some of my diaries, plenty of pictures of Sweet Seeds strains, it might give you an idea as to what to expect. Cheers, Organoman.

Yeah it’s decent for your first time - try photoperiods bro. I started with autos and went photos and never looked back

37g from an auto aint that bad. I looked through and noticed you didn't use any bloom boosters. Using a product for flowering would quite possibly increase your yield. But 37g is nothing to worry about. You have to also factor in your plant is sharing the light with 5 other plants. If you get a consistent weight that would be 185g from one light.
