Trichomes on NYC diesel.

I am growing NYC Diesel auto. Pistils all dried up . This plant looks quite mature now but I keep-looking for some brown in trichomes. Flowering for 9 weeks already. Is it possible that this strain doesn’t show brownish trichomes. Just worried about getting over ripe.

you may have to flower longer, 9 weeks is good but you may have to go 2 more weeks for the amber. sour diesel is a great strain
just keep looking at the trichomes cause they will tell you, you will really have to look., should be good until then, but going past the 11 weeks in flower , i would chop if i did not see amber

I think this plant has made up its mind now. All the shade leaves are turning and drying up from the top down. Week 10 of flower for this auto. I am flushing but will chop at week 11 . Thanks for the great advice. First plant dried up on me (was gone 10 days , 2 plants with their own separate gravity watering system). That plant gave me 78 grams of dried bud. This one is shorter but buds are larger. Great forum.

How long until I should harvest my northern light?She's at day 50 now and her pistils are already getting quite orangey/brown (see diary), which seems rather early to me, also compared to other diaries of her strain. Back building budsHey guys anyone ever tried back building buds? I tried it late in my last grow on one cola and the cola solidified; ie. more dense but not bigger I think I was a bit late. I’m almost 3 weeks in right now, would now be a perfect time?

Is it normal for bud sites to develop this low to the base?Buds growing very close to base.Never seen this before and I only caught it because I was removing the crumbling bottom leafs that haven’t gotten light in two weeks. These aren’t where normal popcorn buds grow, is this a strain thing? They will not get any light, should I remove?

Leaf trim before dryingOk got a good look at the girls today and I def see the Amber trichomes this morning are heavy, still going to try and get the micro shots before harvest cause I want them for the diary . ? Is what are some ideas for the leaf I trim before drying and how to store them freeze?
