Where to put top feed line during germination?

Where do you guys set your top feed line on rockwool cubes during early germination? I do not want to overwater them and drown them out but at the same time keeping them damp.

Clay pellets actually hold a lot of moist and more then enough air. You can put a slow drip on the cubes them self or just an inch or 2 away. Either way once the roots break free of the net it's best to remove the drip system if your RDWC. Drip is only good for starting. That's just my personal opinion. I use rapid rooters and hand drip them 2 times a day heavily until roots break the net pot. Check out my DWC diaries to see. Nice setup by the way. Its awesome.

Your clay and rockwool will retain a lot of moisture. So you don't need to really use ths drip yet. I always go by treat it like normal till roots hit water then it is sustained by the dwc. Good luck and happy growing 🌱🤜🤛
