Plant leaves drooping

Oblique
Obliquestarted grow question 3 years ago
Plant leaves drooping seems to happen from about 4pm in the afternoon. When I check at about 9am the next day (after resting over night), she looks beautiful and perky, virtually no droop at all! Then later in the day starts to droop again. See week 3 post notes for more details

Usually this happens when you don't water or when you water too much. Looking at the photo you uploaded I can see that the top layer is very moist: it can be that the pot is too big and the water creates a bubble inside. Touch the leaves: if the leaves seem moist I advise you to water the plants with less frequency or with less water. Good luck!

Thanks for your responses everyone. After a few days of watering a lot less amounts and frequency, it seems I was over watering. She's bounced back nicely now and I'm only doing 250ml every 24-30 hours. Appreciate everyone's help here.

Mine does the same thing. Starts to droop a couple hours before night time, and perks up a couple hours before dawn. Chatter I see on other forums says that it's natural and nothing to worry about.

Drooping heavily again this afternoon and soil is still moist underneath. Perhaps it is over watering..... I will leave it until tomorrow without any water and see how it looks in the morning. Thanks again everyone!

Thanks for your responses @topic @Ganjapreneur I watered a little more than usual yesterday and noted the drooping was less than previous days. I will try again today and see how it goes. What are the thoughts on the light schedule. Should I change to 18/6? Or leave at 20/4?

If they perk back up after watering your under watering, if not then it’s over and you should cut back. Plants also have a rest period mine droop just a bit a hour before lights out and when I come back during lights on they are dancing.

Thanks for your response @ChitownCannaChica All of the research I've done suggests the same, either too much or not enough water. There's no way it's too much water as I've only been doing 350-400ml a day (usually spread across 2 or 3 waterings in the day). I'm thinking perhaps I up it to 500ml and see how that goes. In regards to lights: Always 60cm distance from plant Running 20 hours on On - 2am to 10pm Do you think I should switch to 18/6?

Hard to say—- droop is either from too much water, too little water, or the plant resting at lights out—- what’s the light cycle?
