Misanthrope
Misanthropestarted grow question 4y ago
How much baking soda should I add to my water to correct acidic soil? Ph meter reads between 5 and 6. I cant afford prepared solutions (but am not opposed to chemicals) so any other DIY remedies would be welcome too

Look into dolomitic lime. It's full of calcium and magnesium. Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) can add too much sodium to your soil.

You would be better off just with an organic pH controller like biobizz which you could probably get a 250ml bottle for about Mixing powders and potions can mess with your substrate, sometimes the easy way out is the best way out.
