OK guys managed to get a soil ph reader. The ph of the soil is 5. My fan leaves have clawed on my photo biscotti from barney's. I've just watered using water ph'd at 8 gave her 2 litres. Any suggestions going forward. Should I remove the clawed leaves?

Is your medium soil or soilless. It looks a bit more like soilless to me in the one photos. The medium you used before in your auto bluebery grow is Plant magic plus, it consist of the following: Sphagnum Peat, Fytocell Foam and our unique Organic Growth Stimulant "don't know what that is" I would not classify that as soil. and more soilless. pretty much peat moss and a manufactured perlite alternative. Granted growing with dry amendments, worm castings and bat guano mixed in it like your other grow is closer to soil but still a hybrid. In the end I would mix in more worm castings or compost to make it more like a true soil blend. keep ph aorund 6.5-6.8 water with no runoff. As for your PH issue. you may need a more drastic flush option to get it back to normal fast. peat tends to drift down the overall PH, if this is the same medium as the blueberry grow. Could try watering with a ph up solution at 8.5 followed by a normal water then monitoring the PH and EC coming out. note that flushing with dry amendments will mess up its nutrient schedule. you will need to top dress after this is all done. Could also use a bit of liquid nutrients to bridge the gap till they are decomposed again for the plant to uptake. This is just what I would do, do what you feel it best with your grow. Best Of Luck!

You are not getting proper run off is the issue. You have a build up of old nutrition in soil causing havoc on your ph. Plus lock out from this. I have seen this before. Is the root of the problems.

Just an fyi, we don't get notifications when you respond to questions on this part of the site even with the @ tag. its a weird thing. I was just looking back on this and saw your reply. You your dm's to reach out to ppl. bottom right hand side of screen, green arrow. As for flushing agents, I'm not a huge fan of them, but it could not hurt so might as well. I'd aim for a ph of 5.8-5.9 for veg and 6.2-6.3 for flower with liquid nutrients. if you go that route for the rest of the grow and don't use dry amendments.. If you want to continue using dry amendments aim for 6.5. and top dress after the flush, it might take a bit to get it back up to 6.5 and it may fluctuate a day later so could always top dress tomorrow as well after a double check. Be careful if the medium is getting water logged. don't want to drown them roots. Best Of Luck!

@m0use Thank you for your input. Yes I am using the same medium as in my blueberry run and using the dry ammendments I do have the liquid nutes to as I'm using them in my purple punch run. Should I use a flushing agent such as flawless finish mixed with ph 6.5 water. I really appreciate your help

Well for a starters mate. Clawed leafs come from over watering, wind burn, mg deficiency, too many nutes or a few other issues, then it leads to the probs u have now if not fixed. Lower your PH. soil PH at 5 is fine. Keep the ph at max 6.5 and that's still high. Remember your plants don't drink soil, they drink the liquid that they get and over watering will lead to fluxs in your PH and pockets of fluid build up leaving masses of salt behind that's why your PH is all over the place. Rule of thumb is you should be able to see the top of the soil and it will be all prickle from your roots sticking up, stick your thumb down if you hitting hard cold soil is too damp. Let it try out, for the next wk just give distilled water with extra magnesium and micros to break it down. Any grow or bloom nutes stop, (you need to restart programme, and flush I go into detail about this on my tangerine dream auto. You need to flush, get rid of the build up of salts. And remember 1-2 inch should be more or less just damp and when you see that dried prickle look it time to water. Say u give 7 feeds over 2 weeks half of them should be just water. Good luck. Text me if you have any issues. I've good grows on soil atm

Oh, and yes, remove the ones like you are holding in your hand. I go into detail about "the claw" And it's effects. Your plant would have given you warning signs weeks ago. Can I ask when did they start to claw. Look at mine it just started 2 days ago but if left to it's own it would go like yours. 1 problem left unfixed cause many problems. Look at my CBD hydro
