FFOF, added perlite and dolomite....ph going in 5.8 and coming out 6.2. No nutes other than cal/mag @ half strength once a week. What do we think is this deficiency?

Please don't answer if you don't know what you're talking about.. to the person who said my ph was low. If you knew what you were talking about you'd know that cal mag is more available at the exact ph it was given. All 3 responses claim the problem was giving them cal mag when in FFOF. If you knew what you were talking about you'd have seen these ladies are in week 7 and you'd know that FFOF starts depleting its nutes at about week 4-5. Also I do check my runoff ppm's every single time I water or feed which is how I knew they were hungry. They were ready for a nice strong dose of nutes and they are currently getting all their green back. I was just hoping to know exactly what deficiency they had because I already knew for a fact it was a deficiency and it helps when feeding to know what's lacking. Not one of you had an actual answer just criticism for things you know not. ✌️

First off you shouldn't of added nothing to ocean forest its set to go #2 your ph is already to low u should be at 6 6.5 #3 why u using cal mag your plant is over dosing u do not need calmg in ocean forest your ph is to low to uptake calcium and mag up your ph and throw the calmag in the garbage

I used Fox Farm for a year. I fought that up and down. I always felt like it was something that I was missing or doing wrong. I got rid of all of my foxfarm products and it just so happens that those spots went away. What it always looks like is a Cal Mag deficiency that's locking out the p in the k. A friend of mine had better success with Fox Farm than I did. He went with the instructions. When things started getting crazy he would hit it with the sledgehammer and then the following day give it full strength nutes. That always freaked me out because I thought that it was locked up due to excessive nutrient. However his results would suggest the opposite.

Correct me if im wrong, but dolomite is an anhydrous carbonate mineral composed of calcium magnesium carbonate, correct? So u added this and more cal mag on top...and your wondering whats going on? Why is it every second question here starts with "using foxfarm/ocean forest and have issues" ?? Im really thinking that this soil mix is garbage. Ive never used it or even bothered to look into it, Id never buy it or use it- Its so easy to make your own soil if you have the room and some time. Im old school like that, at least if I make it myself, I know whats in it so can figure out whats wrong if something happens like with your issue here. Now its very hard to figure this one out, as your soil mix should be loaded with nutes. Fox farm is known for being pretty strong in nutes, you Ph is good for soil, and you have way more Cal mag than any plants needs.. So im stumped. Lock out maybe from too many nutes? or its the dolomite but many old school growers I know use it outdoors in soil and swear by it. Not sure if it needs time to break down or not thou...ive used it myself but never much and never looked into how long it takes to become availaible to the plant as I do 3 months veg and 2 months in flower so it has more than enough time to break down if needed. Id be testing your run off for PPM as the next step and then go from there ok. The other idea could be iron, U may need additional iron but again thats rare in soil mixes unless heavy on the peat and coco coir.
