water dripping directly onto your buds from condensation will do this as well. Just cut it out and it should not spread.

Thought I may of got away with losing the bud that was rotten but looks like I may have had spores contamination on rest of plant! Now fingers crossed it never gott on to other plants as removed plant after losing main cola from rot
